My GT5 disc Is not working very scratched, I play it for a long period of time inside the console. I have tried cleaning it but no luck, i have the collector edition, do I have to buy the same version? if I buy the Standard could I have an issue?

When you say scratch, do you mean actually scratched or is it scratched? Anyways, it might be the laser that reads the disc.

Try a simple lens cleaning disk from a general or game store first for just a few dollars :)

Amazes me that people manage to scratch Blu Ray discs. CD and DVD it's easy but with the hard coating on BR you really have to go to town to scratch them badly enough that they won't read.

And here he is with some useful info...

the GT5 Academy Edition is only for UK? now what version should I buy? btw users are having problems with Academy Version

Just a heads up, you can use any disc from the same region as the original. Your gamedata will work with it. If I were you and already have a game data file that contains all the updates, I'd just buy a normal "original" version, it will work the same way and you could get it pretty cheap.

Edit, the Collectors, Signature and Standard versions all have the same disc contents, they just include different DLC codes which are used in the PS Store.
