so my dad told me the other day, his co-worker was giving away a 1966 Shelby GT350. And all i had to do was clean out the 10 year old garage the car was in and it will be mine. what luck, the bad thing is...it hasn't started up in over 10 years, but was kept in the garage with all the junk. Even though im young, im hoping to perhaps restore it to working condition with the help of my dad.

Does anyone have any tips or places where i can find info on restoring this classic?

that is awesome 👍 👍 we are in the process of restoring an el camino. I would google it or look an ebay for parts. As for it not starting did it not start in 10 years or have they never tried to in 10 years? My El Camino sat for plenty of years and all we did was put a new set of points in it and a distributor. Remember if it doesnt start your either lacking fuel, air, or spark so it will come down to those 3. Anyways take some pictures of it, lets see it.

Yeah and when you take a picture of it put a sign in front of it saying GTP rules : )

I'd definitley get a photo or twenty, when you are all done you'll want to be able to show off what the car looked like when you first got ahold of it.

ill try to take some pictures and find someone with a scanner =]. It might take me some time to restore this though, im young and jobless lol. the exterior paint is chiped and scratches everywhere because of the the stuff in the garage, interior is ok overall for being old, just really dusty and seats are minorly torn up.

You're luckly man, luckly. If my dad told me that, I would be down at that guys garage so fast, that it wiuld be clean by the end of the week. Enjoy it to it's fullest. :)

If you get this car, you'll be in the same position as me. I'm restoring a '71 240Z that was neglected and abused for many years. You'll need as much space for storage and working on the car as possible.

Clean the garage, it's still a Shelby GT350, rusted or not. 👍 Lucky bastard! I wish I could clean a garage and get my dream car.

Are you saying the GT350 is your dream car or meaning you can do this and get a (insert car here).

The first one, a Shelby GT350 is the kind of car alot of us dream about owning, atleast when it's all looking brand new.

My jaw dropped when my dad told me about it x]. I called up my 2 car buddy to come help me clean, there was alot more crap in there than i had thought X_X toys to furniture. But right now my problem will be transporting it back to my house, I have enough room and tools in my garage. I live quite far from Washington DC, which is where the car is at. I have to come up with some cash with my friends right now for towing xD.
