Punk, Yea, the poor Boxter's running into the corner of the room! Actually, I got that poster at a car show years ago, thought it looked cool, like kinda 3D-ish with the poster going onto the other wall. Eventually I'll take it down and put up more Mazda stuff.
The spark plug boxes are uber-cool. You can use them for like everything. Well, not like everything, but they're pretty good for holding onto screws and stuff. I have some 10-15 of these small boxes. I need to start collecting the oil filter boxes, they're more practical.
The Subaru stuff...up till a few weeks ago, my dad worked on Subes just a little less than he did on Mazdas, but his shop split, so he's working mainly on Mazdas but they bring him problem Subes when necessary(since the 2 shops are just a parking lot away). He's also a Sube Master Tech, but Subes have never completely appealed to me. They just don't make enough different models. Sure their cars go back about as far as Mazda does(one of my uncles had a Subaru GL, from like '74, found a pic of it at my dad's shop), but I don't find them that interesting. The Sube parts I have include the 2 white WRX fog light covers, a WRX grill(with just 1 missing mount, still's useable), and a misc. center cap as well as some emblems and stuff. The clip board is cool...I don't think Mazda made any like that. I also have a Castrol clip board...
Tercel, The reason my posters are spread across the room is because I got most of them at different times. The 3 newer posters were at the same time, but I already had stuff up, so I didn't want to remove tons of stuff off the walls until necessary. I'll probably order a RX-8 poster sometime soon, so that'll surely take the place of the 6 poster, and I think the 6 one will go under my window, where currently sits 2 Infiniti posters from several years back.
Alpha, Yea, my room's kinda a museum, but it's a liveable one. I'm not gonna go nuts and put all my stuff in glass cases behind ropes, lol. I too find that with new technology the posters and stuff get better looking. However, I do like the older Mazda ads more than the newer ones. The older ones had full paragraphs loaded with info. The newer ones(except with the RX-8) are mainly just pics of the car or parts of the car. Sure that's cool, but some info is always cooler.
GTR, I've gotten the "why do you have ______ if you don't own a ______?" Always be prepared! I never know when I'll end up driving a 2nd gen Protege and need to know what accessories I want to find or if I get a 1st gen 929 and need to read a recall notice from Mazda issued when the car was new.
oosacker, tis' ok, whenever you get around to it is fine with me.
