Call it what you want, it's a Civic. The "Integra" is from the Acura division of Honda.

Please don't go into some diatribe trying to explain to me what is and isn't blah blah blah, it's a hopped up Civic.

I will not call it an "Integra". I cannot go into any Honda dealership and ask to see the "Integra". In my point of view, it's a Civic and will always be a Civic until Honda discontinues the line.

That video proves yet again, how much kph gives a falls sense of "speed". Could you imagine if some country decided to measure speed in automobiles in feet per second. WOW THOSE CARS ARE FAST!!!!

Same goes for the "Fairlady", it's a "Z" period. Whether it's a 280, 300, or 350, it's a "Z". I don't care if they want to call the car, I live in the States and if the car is available in the States, I will use the name recognized in my country.

Same can be said about MPH from people that use KPH.
It's just weird for me to see the speed moving up so slowly, and watching a GT5 video of a car that should be doing 230KPH on a given spot is doing only 140(MPH of course), and it always takes me a little time to adjust my sense of speed and do some mental calculations.

Of Course you can go into a Honda dealer and ask to see a Integra (outside US), or a Civic, they are different cars, not just rebadged (no panels are the same). Just because they didn't sell it in a Honda dealer in the US you wont acknowledge it?..........

You are an American, you are used to Mph, so whats your point? People used to Km/h don't get any false sense of speed, infact MPH is the opposite to them. WOW THESE CARS ARE SLOW!

Yah I'm sort of confused on the whole Integra deal, in the US it was an Acura RSX and outside the US a Honda Integra (before that, both were Integras). It did/does use the same general platform as the Civic, but had a more powerful drivetrain and a sportier suspension as well as larger brakes, rims, and tires, and obviously a different body.

The Honda integra was renamed Acura RSX for the United States, Canada and Hong Kong in accordance with Acura's new alphabetical naming scheme. It also had an entirely new engine, the K-series. The RSX was still sold as a Honda Integra in Japan and Australia, markets where Acura did not exist.

I think I am absolutely clear on what I said. It was in plain English, even an 12 year old "net speak" addict could understand what my point is. You ignored the "Fairlady" vs. "280, 300, 350 Z" comparison, why?

If I went to my local Nissan dealer and asked to see the new "Fairlady", I'd probably get a "huh" response. Same goes for Pontiac and the G8 or the GTO. If I asked an uninformed salesman for the Monaro or "Ute", they'd look at me like I'm dense.

NO, Honda dealers in my area do not carry the "Integra" that is an Acura product. And yeah, I don't live in Japan....who'd a guessed.

I doubt when we get our US version, the Integra will be where it is supposed to be, in the Acura dealership.

Is this Integra supposed to be coming Stateside and then sold in Honda dealers?

You said it was a Civic, when in fact it's an Integra, a Honda Integra. Two different cars. Obviously it's not sold here (anymore under Acura) so obviously you couldn't get it from a dealership here. Point is, TWO DIFFERENT CARS. If you asked for a Civic, you wouldn't get a car that remotely resembles the Integra/RSX.

You still called the Integra a Civic though, which it is not anywhere. If you wanted to buy the Integra (known as outside of America) you would walk into a Acura dealer and ask for a RSX. Walking in and asking for a Civic wont work.


The point is, you called it a Civic which it is not anywhere in the world at all.

That is why I ignored the Fairlady comment, as it doesn't compare, unless you called the fairlady a 240sx then it would compare to what you said about the Integra.
