Although I don't post much I have been reading these forums for quite a while now. I remember when I first watched the videos on here and was utterly astonished. This board is the best online community that I have seen. With my school comming to a wrap I decided to see if I can polish up my skills and I figured what better to practice with than with my current #1 source of procrastination. So here is the result of the the inspirations I have recieved from this board and recreating them in a new fashion. I will list credits later as finals are tomorrow and if ya see yourself in there, give me a shout. I will stop going on and on now. Enjoy.

That was one of the most entertaining drift vids I've ever seen. Excellent unique editing. Just great stuff. Well done TRi!!!!

Beautiful... Just beautiful... Nice little tribute...

I saw a few of my clips in there... The yellow R33, and the red Legacy...

Keep up the good work, Tri...

;)

This is one for the books. Some of the most innovative editing I've ever seen, the rain and snow effects, and the quick car-switching at the Apricot Hill hairpin. The "close-up on the Cobra's engine" bit was a great touch too. I agree with bustwave. though, I only wish it were a bit longer.

Awesome work. 👍

Short, yet sweet. nice job man! i LOVE The editing! what program are you using?
nice job, keep it up!

i used a combination of after effects, photoshop, and premiere. i actually made a second part to the video, but wasn,t happy with the results so i canned it. i might be able to post the pre-comps... thanks for all the comments. this board is def worth a tribute.

wow. great job there, TRi.

again, it's too bad for its short length. that was some feature film quality stuff. lol.

looking foward to more

I agree with SD.

Just a quick note to everyone that has said it was too short. (and it was a bit short) But that editing takes a good amount of time and a ridiculous attention to detail.

I'm a big advocate of quality over quantity. So I'd rather see a 2 minute entertaining drift vid then a 7 minute vid that gets boring after the first two minutes. :ouch:

Know what I mean? 💡

Thanks Swift. This video was indeed time consuming. I suppose it's a good thing that people want more? I added the 2nd part before I took it into after effects so no crazy effects in it. The concept I imagined wasn't bad, but it's really hard to overshadow something that took quite a while to do. Plus I was running low in my bag of tricks.

The second one wasn't bad bud. It was very well synced with the music. Wait to steal some of the best drifts from the IDM vid. heh heh

What software packages did you use for these vids? AfterEffects and what else?

Very well executed vid there Tri... you really got some mad editing skills right there bro... And the effects were amazing - and both snowy effects on my clips too! 👍 Quite honored man :) Not forgetting the 3000GT clip - bro.. just loved how you made the car vanish and re-appear... Awesome dude!

Very nice videos. I loved the second one since I prefer simple videos with great music and quality. I know you put a lot of effort into the first one though. Loved the snow effects, awesome job man

Thank ya much. That part (which is only the first part of the process) only took about a half an hour to do as opposed to a half an hour or more for one clip. Anticipating the new IDM vid with a passion. However, I think my next video won't be until gt4.

I used adobe premiere for all the basic cuts and arranging to music. I used after effects for the snow, rain, and opening. I spliced the video(as stills) in photoshop and brought em into after effects to make the cars disappear and reappear.

Loved the DD Trilogy. You and Silvia are the reason I ever wanted to try AWD. It'll be a good while before I can do stuff like that.

Ryen49 - tried to reply but pm box was full

I'll try not to disappoint, but your editing skills far exceed mine...

I'm just honored to be mentioned...

Very creative videos, thats the best editing I have ever seen in any video I have come across, even including non-drifting videos. It makes me want to go practice some drifts lol.
