Impressive....

I've started learning it in GT4, but only in GT5 i started to do sub 8' times, even in racing cars.

Don't know my record now but I've easily done more than 1000 miles there, I test all cars and drive online mostly in that track.

i think you know every single cm from Hell! crazy guy!:scared::gtpflag:
Well, surprisingly enough the green hell still has surprises for me.
I am trying each and every car in my garage in that 24' race. Some 300 of them already made it, some 500 to go. I wouldn't even call it grinding, it's big fun to me.
Winning turns out to be impossible with some cars, even tuned to the max.
I only use race hard tires, no matter which car.
Most of them require a pitstop, some don't.

I have won with near to 3' margin, but also with 0.xxx margin. My worst result (until now) is a 9th place. I never quit a race to start over, but some racesI had to repeat several times to strike out errors.

Hardest battle was with the Abarth ... In the final straight, I had 5 cars all over me and I had to block two times to get the win. Maybe not really fair, but keeping in mind how they were trying to pushme off, I have no real problem there :irked:

Most used car is the Audi R8 LMS Team Phoenix. It took me a lot of testing to find the best tune for me. Right now, it feels great, but still not easy to drive fast. I had about 130 wins in this 24' race with it.

Sadly...no...
I am however planning to go there in september/october, together with a friend. He ownes a Nissan GT-R, a Renault Clio cup car and a Renault Mégane coupé (race prepared). So I probably get to drive my first laps on the Ring irl...:)

I too was once obsessed with the Nurb. I practiced for months in GT5 trying to win at it online until I finally got that first win in a Countach, my favorite classic. Today I've driven on it so much that it's one of my best tracks.

Quick poll here:
How many people would be interested in racing online with the other obsessed Ringers in this thread?

If there are enough, say 10-12, why not do regular races?
I would volunteer to organize things (in a very non-dictatorial way, obviously, as it's supposed to be fun) if there are enough interested people.

Who's up for it?

Added another 5 laps on Friday, back in the MR2 this time

I'm starting to hate you for living so close to the circuit... Lol. BTW, last time I visited the Nürburgring I attend the F1 in Spa and visited your country, loved it. Great "eurotrip" with my Cupra, finished in the Austrian Alps.

Yeah i understand that in most lobbies for the Nordschleife are full of 'dirty racers' but find the clean racers and my god can you have some great battles.
Nordschleife to me is Race Track Bliss, I can still remember the first time I raced the track it is a like a beautiful women with curves and straits

I feel in love with the Norschleife as I was learning GT5, my first experience with GT. What a blast!

Well I'm from California in the U.S., but I'm going to have an opportunity to visit the famed track in October this year, and I can't wait.

I understand they have a program where you can "borrow" a Toyota GT 86 and take it for a spin on the track for the (ahem) low cost of ~100 EUR. I may still just have to do this... seems like a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

4 laps with a GT86 will cost 489€ in this rental. There are more. Just google a little bit.

Have fun and share photos once there ;)

I do love to take my favorite cars for a spin there from time to time. its real fun, just cruising by the beautiful German scenery :) I feel like i can take anyone on when I'm doing a good lap, even if i may be doing terrible times in reality. its a 'just for fun' track for me, that's why I'm excited for that new Zahara track :)

Also, i would love to sign up for those races, count me in! Im looking for steady events for online. Gives me a reason to practice there more :D
