A Mondeo:
An old Mondeo, in top trim:
With a decent engine:
So the details:
It's a '98 Mondeo V6 2.5 24v Ghia X. When new, it was the absolute top of the range, most expensive Mondeo you could buy.
It has:
a 170bhp V6 (which puts out about 100bhp now)
full leather inerior
air con (which doesn't work)
cruise control (which doesn't work)
heated seats (which don't work)
a 6-CD changer (which doesn't work)
heated front screen (which kinda works)
'leccy windows all round
'leccy sunroof
boot popper on the key (which doesn't work)
the central locking is kinda dodgy as well.
BUT: I paid £650 for it two years ago, spent about £600 getting a few things fixed (new springs all rounf, new water pump, new power steering rad, new alternator, new exhaust, new rubber all round) and it's actually a really nice car t drive. It handles great, makes a nice sound, lots of low-end torque, really comfortable, quick when you need it.
I really like it. Shame it only does 21mpg...
