The Fallout Shelter is dying.

Well, after Prismaya, one of our administration, leaves, suddenly, we have moderation that decided to take one of our greatest assets at the Shelter, the spambin known as the "Spammish Inquisition," and turn it into a dictatorship. Now, topics seem to be getting deleted constantly, cancelling the long-running threads whe had in that forum. Some of those threads, "The Green Room," for example, a fiction thread where we wrote stories about each other, are very good, and shouldn't have been deleted in the first place.

I'm not sure what the vision is for that forum. I think the staff at TFS, one named CitizenBill in particular, are getting power-hungry. That'tl kill TFS slowly and painfully.

I'm going to go to another forum that's being built by those of us who participate in The Green Room. Once it's built, I'll be only participating in an RP in TFS.

Goodbye, TFS. We'll Miss you.

Yeah but why post in this forum to tell the world, how many members are in both forums?

Oh, btw, The Green Room sounds like one hell of an idea, we should implement such a thing in GTP.

Plenty of members there. over a thousand, with at least fifty active daily. however, there's a lot of us threatening to leave.

Besides, this guy knows my opinion. I really don't think he cares.

Agreed, sounds like great fun, you'll just have to be careful it don't become a flame fest.

I'm all for a Green Room, oh the stories we could tell. lol

No wonder it's dead, I've never heard of it!

And if an average internet Joe like me hasn't heard of it, how will others?

If it's This one, i'm not surprised.

Invisionfree forums rarely if ever take off. The features are very limited, and you end up adding 3 tons of javascript to add any extras...

If the owner can't afford to pay for hosting, atleast get him to change from the god awful IPB 1.3 skin it comes with...

As for putting those nasty affiliate buttons above the banner, urgh!

Alright, i'm done :D

Sadly, that's the way forums go, very often. One person leaving can change it's stance completely. If other people agree with you, perhaps you could all post a topic informing them that many of you aren't happy?

Yeah, i've had my own forums at different locations and of different software over the last five years or so and it is really hard to attract and keep people posting. One person can usually affect them too, at various times i've been unable to access the forums the posting wasn't usually at the same level as it were when i could access them.

You can also form successfull breakaway forums if you have enough willing people. Take a look at Gran Turismo X.net. The vast majority of the members there are from Gran Turismo.com (now granturismoforum.com) and as such it is considered the new GTF. The old forum still exists but there's lucky to be one post a fortnight. :(
