I was just messing aroung one day in the snow........shooting squirrels(sp?) and i had my gun set to semi-auto(Spyder Imagine) and i was shooting very slowly. About 1 shot every 5-6 seconds . And i was running low on Co2 well i think it was leaking because i jusy had it filled but anyways. It stopped shooting so i though i ran out of C02 but i screwed it on tighter and kept shooting. then it stopped again so i thought i had really run ot of Co2 but it wasnt empty. I took off the co2 and then my barrel and look in , and i see a crushed paintball shell. I try to **** my gun but nothing its jamed. So i let the paint dry to see if the shell would crumble out but its more stuck than ever. and i never have time to take it back to where i got it....plus the store is like an hour away so.....anybody got a good way to fix it?

OK, what type of gun? I'm guessing its a spyder clone? One thing that I've seen happen on a regular occasion to a Spyder or typical blowback clone is a small piece of shell will get jammed between the bolt and the casing. This effectively jams the bolt in place.

Have you recently stripped the gun down? If so, you had to take nut out of the back of the bolt to pull the hammer? That little nut (if not properly secured) will back out and fall into the groove between the hammer and bolt. It'll catch and lock up the gun.

Is there a chance you can point me to a picture of the gun? Or can you snap a shot of it?

thats exactly what I was going to say :)

Is that dry paintball shell in your barrel? If it is some warm soapy water will take care of that but send us pics, it will help us better understand the situation, or if you dont have a camera just use paint and draw us one :)

READ MY POST CAREFULLY!!! I already said it is a Spyder Imagine and no i havent striped it down ever.....i said a paintball burst and the shell shattered in the chamber jamming it.

Thats your problem then. You need to keep that sucker clean!

For the rear access of the marker, your model of Spyder either has a pull pin or 3 screws (one on either side of the bottom tube, one on the top).

Remove the pin or screws. Be careful, as the velocity adjuster is under tension from the main spring. As you are removing the pin or screws, hold down on the velocity adjuster. When the pin or screws are removed, slowly ease up on the velocity adjuster. Again, depending on the model, there are several varients. As shown below, the bolt cap and velocity adjustor can be one piece or these items can be two pieces. Even some of the rear cocking will not have a cap for the top tube.

With whatever version you have, remove the velocity adjustor, the flat disk, spring pin, and main spring as shown in the picture above.

Next, we will remove the bolt assembly. For you rear cocking owners, simply pull straight back on the cocking knob to reveal striker buffer and the bolt assembly (the bolt and striker). Side cocking users will need to unscrew the cocking knob (as pictured above). Then insert a pencil and push the striker from the bottom or side if the bolt assembly doesn't fall out.

clean that sucker out by pushing a small cloth through your gun after cleaning put it back together

Connect the bolt to the striker via the bolt pin that is attached to the bolt. Install into the rear of the marker. The striker and bolt need to be apart so far to fit. For those that have installed the grip frame before the bolt, there is a little trick to getting the bolt assembly in. Push down on the bolt. As you push on the bolt, pull the trigger a few times. The bolt assembly should "slip" into place.

Install the striker buffer, main spring, spring pin, and the flat disk. Replace the velocity adjuster and push down on the spring. Line up the holes and install the quick strip pin or screws.

Replace the trigger frame and the bottom line. Gas it up and make sure it works.

what a friend u have skyline, thats all i can say.

He got it for christmas and didn't even touch it....I guess a $1300 paintball gun isn't much compared to the XKR convertible and other goodies his parents bought him.

Im glad someone posted pictures with their suggestion to fix the gun...

I never got that much when I had problems.

Luckily, my spider never broke and it was only my "hammer-A" pump gun. (alright beginners gun if you as me.)

Had to take it apart, clean it, oil it and repeat about 10 times over a 2 month period before I got rid of the problem.

So the point is...

If you feel you are compitant, try taking it apart and working with it a few times until it gets fixed. However, if you have any doubts, take it to a pro. Those semi-autos can be real trouble when you don't know what your doing.
