Don't delete the "Saved Game" file, which is a small file. Back it up to a USB if you're still unsure (a good idea in general). You won't remove any of your game progress, just the patches.

Delete only the big file in the Game Utilities Folder. It should be around 8+gb in size.

Once you restart your game, you'll be prompted to update to Version 2.0. Once you click it, you'll have two status bars come up. It'll automatically download whatever versions you need in chronological order.

Takes a while, but it solves the problem.

My problems with GT5 Spec II

The pitting in A spec endurance races is so glitchy, most of the time it drives my car through the pits without changing tires or fuel. It happened repeatedly on Tsukba and Leguna even when you drive in at slow speeds.

No windshield wipers in standard cars, I don't think they have highbeams either.

In A spec you can't press down to go to the Garage Icon, without scrolling right though all the races. I noticed this in the Extreme Dream Challenge.

Driving your vehicles in free run in an online lobby when no one else is around didn't add any miles on to the odometer.

Tskuba has no pit animation, also the person filling up the gas could at least open the fuel door in other tracks with pit animation.

Also in photomode I had issues with one place that I couldn't even turn around to photograph the car.

Doing some special events, I've noticed that sometimes original game music overrides my music I have loaded on the PS3. I also had one instance with the Formula GT that the cars revving noise locked up and became the only sound in the race. Even when the car wasn't moving.

Can't setup an online lobby with a kart track as far as I can tell.

Also the Update all thumbnails didn't update any of my thumbnails
 
WiNDSHIELD WIPERS!!!!

It's such a shame. How inconvenient it is to have unusable windshield wipers in the middle of a race in cockpit view and then have to change to a different view. I don't see PD leaving this like that, but for the time being, plaghhhh. And I'm not being sarcastic.

The glitchy pit stops are likely to be fixed in the next update.

Are you seriously complaining about that kind of detail in pit stops? One word: PD-needs-to-focus-on-better things. All right, two words.


The custom soundtracks thing only happens to me when I first start up GT5, but I'm more worried about getting a Skip Song option in the pause menu. There might be restrictions though. Does Modnation Racers let you skip songs during a race? Anybody?

Problem solved!(a bit)I was able to download the firmware in 30hrs :-(,my proble now is that i cant install in the HD the 8gb games to make the installation faster.I tried it numerous times still no good.But i can get to play online games again and my cars and credits were not erased!Thanks!
