My ps2 wont load DVD's

I have just got my self an older ps2.it works fine with CDs but it just wont load DVD's.i have tried with two original game DVD' but it just wont do.Can someone help please,i heard something about cleaning the laser and somethig about voltage but i dont get it.HELPP!!

its laser is on its way out... thats what my one was doing... and a couple of months later it wouldnt read games so i got it repaired and they said that the laser was destroyed...

only do a clean it its warranty is expired.

open the PS2 and give it a liberal clean. mine did the opposite, it would ONLY read DVD's
