Boz Mon, just to add, you said that:
"I'm pretty sure that 10 is indeed stiffer than 1 because when I turned the dampers down, the car became more stable."

My viper racing video show that the car become more stable after you increase damper value. With this info we can conclude that in GT2 the car will be more stable after we lower the damper value because in GT2 lower damper value means stiffer.

I'm currently unable to do any testing of my own, as my copy of Viper Racing decided to inexplicably die on me. The graphics went down the toilet and the resolution crapped out. I've been fighting both it and Sports Car GT since Wednesday.

I'd remove the first and second link. That could be construed as piracy.
And I have the full game, but it just isn't working correctly for some reason, and it has taken SGT with it. I'm not sure why, either.
