Good to hear you're still working on it, I almost thought you guys stopped.
Looking forward to build 06.
 
Some more fresh news :

The dev of the game still progress everyday, i wish i could have more time to work on it but its still fine.

I think that even if the racetrack is not totally complete atm, its already fine to release the build 6.
Of course, we will take care of updating and refining it to make it as beautiful as we can.

Instead of making a totally new track, i was thinking about making a short course and a longer course of the same racetrack (But i am still thinking about it).
Maybe i can get some good feedback from you guys, so you can tell me what would be nice.

The driving model is still a very big WIP but it seems already ok to have fun around the track :)
I can't be sure of the release date but i hope i can make it for the first half of June.

Visibly, there's a bit too much bodyroll. I just went to Mosport with the BMW Car Clubs of America group, and there were dozens of similar BMW model, but, none of them had that much bodyroll.


Also, were you trying to drift, or was this oversteer unintentional?


However, in saying that, I can't believe how nice that looks. :drool:

Haha yeah, i know, as i am still in a early phase for the car physics, i didn't tune everything perfectly, and the body roll on those shot is kind of extreme.
But it give a kind of dramatic look to the scene ^^

Yeah i was drifting the whole time and rapidly press the pause button to take the shot.
Actually the car really oversteer too much right now i need to adjust that.
But in the meantime its just soo much fun to drive :D

That is exact, right now, i use them mostly for debugging the game or any suspicious behaviors.
The user will be able to show or display them in the options.


I just made a lot of rework on the surrounding forest + made some custom made pine trees.

Here is how it looks ingame.
Still need some rework but, it give an incredible depth to the circuit.
Almost finished the first version of the circuit!

Can you be able to make some of the tracks from GT into this game? That would be cool.

In one racing game I play, Racer, they have downloads for Grand Valley, Trial Mountain and Autumn Ring.

You can make tracks that look easy to do like High Speed Ring or Special Stage Route 5. It's up to you.
 
Yeah, that is an idea, but i think its better for us to make a track that you find nowhere else for the moment.

no mistake here, i truly love GT, but trying to copy any of the track in a bad way, would be bad for the GT fans anyway.

So, i guess that we cannot officially create it, BUT if a gentleman can make a replica for us, i would gladly integrate it as a "special content track".

Ok, i promise its the final straight before the Build 06 release. (I am a bit late).
I prefer to take my time and release something really polished.

I just finished the User Interface drop down list and sliders. (Design completely plagiarized from GT5 :rolleyes:)

I am almost done!

Anyways, great game, I've already downloaded the Build 05, can't wait to Build 06! I just hope you have the time to model tracks like Autumn Ring or Trial Mountain... And add some historic cars!

Actually the track that looks lije high speed ring believe me or not but its just a pure coincidence!
When i designed the track i didn't had any reference at all, and its been long time i didn't play Gran Turismo.
But after few people pointed it i was surprised myself how close it is to high speed ring haha.

This is official now!
Build 06 is coming next Monday, or Tuesday!

Of course i will be waiting for your feedback on it guys, to make the Build 07 even better!

The reason I love Race '07 so much as I do... It's the shear volume of content available. 👍 That, and good physics, and decent graphics, and you'll have an awesome building block.


Edit: That said, I can't wait for Build 6; (instant download when it's ready)

You can control the car with keyboard, Gamepad, or Mouse (Mouse require some practice :))

Any feedback can help the game to improve a lot, and all necessary changes will be done to make the next Build even better ;)

It took time to make the Build 06 because there is a huge work on it but it should be easier to update now.

Just gave it a quick try, not bad at all. 👍

Graphics of both the car and track looks very nice at maximum, also nice and smooth in terms of framerate although sense of speed is perhaps lacking slightly.

Even with just keyboard control the physics feel like a really nice base to start, the car reacts mostly how you would expect and it's predictable and smooth, which is very important.

Overall very good work, I'm sure it'll only get better.
 
I'd say the most important thing to add at the moment is a clock and laptimes list.

The game is really nice though.
 
Nicely done, jujunosuke! Haven't kept a track of the builds in along time but I will give my feedback once I get home and can properly try it out with my gamepad.
 
It seems that the only way to exit it is to pull up task manager and crash it?
Looking great so far. Your graphics engine is superb for just taking it on your self! How difficult would a simple smoke texture be?
