Well, people are asking me about it a lot and I have to type it each time, so here it is!

I'm riding at the office complex I always ride at yesterday, minding my own buisness, and this lady yells at me "Get out of here!!!" but I didn't know she was a guard, she was like a nobody, so I just ignored her. I hear sirens and I thought that it was something else so I decide maybe I should head home and it was also drizzling, so I start to speed out of there, and I'm on the sidewalk and this cop puts on his sirens so I thought that he was gonna get someone, and next to me and yells "Stop right there!!!" and so I slam on the brakes and he's like "why did you run from me? You thought this was a game huh? What were you thinking?" and getting all up in my face and I'm like "I didn't ru.." and he cut me off and said "Yea you did...blah blah" and then accused me of trespassing(even though there's no sign or anything), yelling at someone(I didn't say anything at all), and almost hitting a car(there was no cars in the parking lot at all), and then said that he might call my parents and asked "What would they say about this?" and I said "I donno, I'm not them" and he's like "I don't need that, now I'm calling your parents!" and he told me to go home and tell my parents what happened before he called. So I go strait home, got home like 2 mins later and my dad's like "I heard" and I'm thinking "WTF?!" and my dad's like "I'm not mad at you, I just don't want you in trouble. Just don't ride there for a while" but I was still upset cause I wasn't doing anything wrong and this cop acted like I was committing a huge crime or a murder or something. I didn't need that. If he just said "Don't ride here" I woulda left. I was going to leave the lot anyway...

But this cop's like "I'm not going to arrest you yet unless you've done this before" and went on to say "I'm not even going to put your name anywhere" and I'm thinking "Well what the hell, I'm on a bike and he pulls me over, sirens and all, with a cop car, and there's also a bike cop too? WTF?" A simple "stop" woulda done fine...

It probably cost Creve Coure PD like $500 just to pull me over. Sad
I probably shoulda kept going, I could out run the car(by making tons of curb hops and stuff) and the bike is a Police Trek, no suspension at all, I could easily beat that.

It's pretty bad when cops chase a kid on a bike, you would think that they woulda gone after a speeder, or a red light runner, or druggies, but no, a kid minding his own buisness is more important.

Sad isn't it, a falure of the law...

Sorry to hear about your little run-in with illogical people, Ryan. :( Unfortunately, they're everywhere...

Wow. That's pretty stupid (the cop). Me and my friends went to an abandoned warehouse and we found a bout 15 bottles of rum, half of em hadn't been opened! And one of my friends went into there once with a 15 year old and two guys with sledgehammers chased em, and the other guy almost broke his foot!

yes, cops suck.

i think they enjoy pulling kids over because they can stand over them and make themselves feel big and tough. that is until they get a cap in dey ass from sum foo packin a nine rollin in a sixfo.

you're a wimp. i would have told the ***** to **** off. cops are assholes, i'd lecture them for about 10 minutes on why they should be paying attention to actual crimes. morons.

Dang, Maz. That sucks ~ So this was a "real" cop, not a rent-a-cop? You did the right thing, though - you don't want to give him anything to say.

What a jackass. That fuggin' guy needs to get a life.

Then again, if I were a bike cop, I'd be pretty pissed off too... :smilewink

i find that cops usually bother a certain type of person. usually people smaller than them, or kids.

or people with Hondas.

thats like the cops pulling me over cause they think I have illegal things on my car. Then they check it and call and I sit there for 20 minutes then the cops like you go everything is alright, sorry to trouble you. Cops are stupid sometimes but sometimes I think that they are just doing there job and I should give em a break.

had a run in with the law around 40 minutes ago.

got a cramp in my leg which caused me to depress the throttle to the firewall and i was unlucky enough to be right infront of an unmarked cop car.

they said it was "noise pollution" and saw fit to issue me a 290 dollar fine.

bastards.

LOL I love that pic, I saw that on the WRC and I just laughed!

This was a real cop, in a real cop car that pulled me over. Shortly after he "pulled me over" I was looking around and saw the bike cop farther up the road.

And since I think about things a lot after something happens, I thought of some stuff that I shoulda said. Something like "Since I can't ride here, can you write up a list of places around here were I can ride, and then sign it so that if I ever get yelled at I can show that you said it was ok" And also "Hang on, all I did was sit in a parking lot minding my own buisness while people are causing real problems? You ever break the law?" "no" "yea you did, you peeled out after me, that's excessive acceleration, and you went over the speed limit, and you parked in the middle of the road. But I am a problem? What's wrong with this picture?"

Stuff like that, but it's too late now.

I'll remember that incase it happens again...

I dont think cops are stupid, they were doing their job, and well, you trying to be a "wiseguy". I guess you deserve it. Why didnt you just stop, and ask what was going on instead of ignoring it....

Tercel, Maz didn't think they were going after him, he thought they were going after someone else. ;) I mean, if i heard sirens i would try to go away from the place because i don't want to get involved...
