Hmm, why would Maz stop, if he didn't do anything? He wouldn't be in the way of the cop either, as he is on a bike and probably not in the middle of the street.

although I admit the use of the siren was a bit overeacted. Maybe the cop was one of those lazy ones, but not stupid, so instead of walking towards him, he just got into his car and tried to stop him from there.

Maybe he should have stopped at the first warning. Everything from that point was pretty much straight forward...

The first warning came from a woman in plain clothes.

I never said the woman who gave the warning was a member of the police crew. I said why he didnt just obey, and well, do not go there. I mean, IS it really hard for a teenager to follow the rules... oops, my bad...

OK, but don't have too much fun mouthing off to Johnny Law.

I did that about two years ago and got a $350 citation for harassing an officer. Lesson learned, I guess. My dad ran a stop sign the day man walked on the moon and did the same, but he didn't get a citation.

If you were driving your Tercel around and a woman came up to your car in plain clothes and said, 'you can't drive here,' you would obey?

 Nice addition to the sig m5power ;)

Of course i would obey if they asked me to stop driving a tercel! :)

People drive though the lot all the time, into a parking garage, out, and then back to the road(it's like a short cut). There's a stop sign but people rarely stop there.

This lady was plain clothed and then after she yelled to me, she got in a car and left.

The whole situation was dumb. Hopefully it won't happen again.

To quote NWA "**** the police"

I really do hate cops, always wasting their time and our tax dollars doing stupid **** like pulling over a kid on a bike. About a week ago I was doing 80 in a 65, there was a cop behind me. He puts on his sirens. Natrually, I'm like "oh ****, I'm ****ed", so I downshift from 5th to 3rd real quick, and immediatly the car lurches forward and I lost like 20mph in a few seconds. So he pulled me over, I knew he wanted to bust me for speeding, but since I pulled off my downshifting trick, I dramatically slowed down without the brake lights going on, and by the time he got around to checking my speed, I was going the speed limit or below. So this cop was sitting there for 5 minutes trying to think of some reason that he pulled me over. The whole time he was trying to make conversation with me or something. Finally, he said "The reason I pulled you over was because your back window is a little fogged up, and I wanted to see if something was wrong." Moron, the reason you pulled me over was because I was speeding, but you don't got **** on me, so get your fat ass back in the car. Cops suck.

LOL you downshifted 2 gears and the cop didn't notice? hahahaha

I guess a parking brake would work too if you used it moderately...

I know someone that made a switch that shuts off the brake lights when he wants them to be off so he can get out of tickets and stuff...

Cops suck. I am 32 and have thought that for, ummm... like 20 years now. They totally pick on kids. It's sick. I once had a cop come to my (parent's) house and arrest me at dinner with my family for unpaid parking tickets. I was taken to jail. Muther ****ers! I still hate them for that. And that's enough.

It's interesting to me the way American cops need big ass guns and a shotgun and a night stick and mace. Jesus frickin christ we live in a police state! It propagates itself. It's sick.

I'm moving to Canada.

Our police around here are ...They actually think skateboarding is a crime...Fags...They dont care about the places with nothing to skate but with all the places with something they come after us. For instance there is this chuch downtown with this perfect handrail, perfect runway, landing. You dont even get to do it before the 5-0 roll up and escort you away from the church...It happens every time...

i had a run in with the law that was much the same as mazkid's only the "punishment" was a bit more severe.

me and my friends are riding are bikes on the sidewalk in town and a cop who is stopped in traffic gets on his speaker and says to walk your bikes, we keep going and he says again 'walk your bikes' so we get off and walk em. then after about 30ft we start riding em again and the cop turns on his lights and speeds into a parking lot from the back way that we had entered from the street side and stops us, he gives one of my friends a mere $10 ticket for not having proper reflectors or brakes and riding on the sidewalk. though since he 'didnt' see the rest of us riding on the sidewalk after he said something, only in the parkinglot which did have a huge no trespassing sign near where the ofiser was parked and that made it ok. he didnt even have an answer for "then if i get hit by a car in the street, i can not only seu the driver but i can also seu you" he just put the car in drive and speed away

I know someone that made a switch that shuts off the brake lights when he wants them to be off so he can get out of tickets and stuff...

i read that in a recent Car and Driver article about the Cannonball Run some guy did that so the cops couldnt tell he was slamming on the brakes to slow down for there speed traps.

I live in the small town of St.Louis MO, yea real small town risingson... :)

surprisingly i live imbetween the 3 bigest towns in DuPage county: oakbrook, hinsdale, and downers grove. so there is a lot going on in our town, especially drunk drivers and drug deals.

In my area...there's not much going on crime wise...and Creve Coure(the county where my accident happened, I actually live next to Creve Coure in Unincorperated STL County) is really wierd, and City Place(the office buildings where this happened) is the biggest office complex in CC, and the fire station is right across the street, with the Police Station a little less than a mile away, so it probably was just something for them to do, or City Place called on me before but nothing happened...

I donno...people say that cops suck and stuff, but they don't. The laws suck. The cops are just there to direct and correct people interferring with the law. I'm not really mad about what happened...just ashamed that I didn't just go home.

I hate all cops. I've had many run-in's with them. Hell I'm still doing community service for one crime...
