That's how every car is Fusion.. No car makes peak HP At redline, it's always good to shift Before redline unless you have a high HP curved car, like a Honda.

That's not true, quite often it's best to go all the way to redline so that you can enter the next gear at as high of an RPM as possible. It may not always feel faster, but it is.

pergatory I can absolutley gaurentee it's not best, and I gaurentee it's LESS than often you want to go to redline..the sharper the power curve, the more you want to go to redline, and since Not many cars have sharp azz curves redlining it is slowing you down.
You'll get your best 1/4 times in an Integra Type R if you shift at 7800 as apposed to 8200. What do you think the whole purpose of shift lights are?

The redline on production cars isn't determined by where the power is made, it's determined by how fast the engine will spin before damaging itself. The cams and timing and such are then designed around that redline so that power will start to drop JUST before redline. Hence, although you might benefit from shifting at say 6800 instead of 7000, 6000 is just way too low.

and then they like to go POP .....and thats from a personal experience

Well you gotta remember, it's a rotary engine....To much in either direction will cause a irreprehensible pop.
I personally think you should dump he 12A and get yourself a 13BT, i mean you can't go wrong with a 13BT, then you can imput some 13B-REW parts in there, and get yourself and easy 12 second street legal street practical Rx-7 sleeper...Wicked neh?

im going for low expense, good handling. not high performance straight line..lol. a street ported 12A with a good intake/exhaust setup will be enough power for me.

i went out driving today and found a parking lot to do some practice in...i was just doing donuts though. really fun stuff after being used to driving FF for so long!! my engine may be really old..but it can still generate enough power to bark 2nd gear, and the power delivery is really smooth! love this rotary. i need to convert to an electric fan though...the clutch type on my engine now feels like its robbing power
