SOF2 has been out for almost 6 days now.
Long enough of playing for me to get bored and wanna screw around with the files...

Im converting a map from RTCW [beach, anyone?] (another Q3 engined game) and Ive got this stupid problem that i have no clue how to fix, along with something else.

The first problem is that i get an error trying to load the map itself. "CM_something error: mp_beach.bsp's version is incorrect, 47, should be 1"
I have no clue how to change that, because of the 2nd problem:
I dont know how to/what opens .bsp files.
The .bsp file is the actual map itself, the models and whatnot.

Any help would be MUCH aprecated, and i guess i'll abuse this thread with pics and updates.

But no one has the game to care :)

the bsp file is the final compiled map. Counter-strike uses bsp file, and from what i know, they cant be extracted or anything like that.... not sure if anyone found a way, but from what i know, it cant be done......

Of course it can be done, every Q3 engined game uses it, and Q3 and such has a bazillion addon maps :)

Even though they use the same engine, i don't think it can be done.
If it was possible you probably could use the Quake characters in SOF or Jedi Outcast. They use the same engine, but SOF is a heavily modified one.

Try doing a search on "quake mod" in google..??

In RTCW (also a Q3 game) you can open the .pak files with Winrar or Winzip. The textures were all .tga files if I remember correctly.

Already done so, I've extracted everything and got the map to show up on the map list in game, but i cant play on it due to that odd error. I need the way to decompile/open (witchever) the .bsp, witch is the main map file.
