My SUV and it's new rims ( Got the pics, tell me what you think)

I recently purchased a '03 GMC Yukon XL SVC Sport Truck completely loaded. It was a sweet ride but I decided that it needed something to make it look just a little bit nicer. I was just browsing around the internet looking at what i might do to it when I came across a local store that sold stuff for my type of vehicle.

I took a run over to the store after I got there address off of the internet and when I came into it the first thing i saw was a beautiful set of 22' chrome rims. I knew right there that I had to have them. I ordered them and paid up front a cool $9000 and made an appointment to comein and get them on. Well, today was the day and I must say that they came out looking wonderful.

I ended up getting the AKUZA EMR292 - "Bounce" 22" rims with TOYO PROXES ST 325/40VR22 performance truck tires.

So, the truck was almost $80,000, plus the $9,000 Rims, as well as a couple thousand in other work i have put into it. It's my new favourite toy (Yes, even more than the Viper).

The Rims I got are AKUZA EMR292 - "Bounce" 22"

The shop that installed it all was www.newmarkettire.com

Now, this is the only pic I have of it right now, it doesnt really show how good this truck looks. I am gonna take my own pics of it inside and out to show you guys, but this will have to do for now. After i have the DVD player installed I will take some of my own pics with all the chrome polished up and looking nice.

If you guys have any questions i would be happy to answer.

I did'nt like the Pirelli Scorpions as much as the Toyo Proxes. The Toyo had a much more agressive look to the track and they just seemed to match better to the truck.

i cant resist............youre a JACKASS man.

and dont say the typical rich asshole stuff like "you are just jealous, dont hate."

Jackass huh? okay, whatever

So, anyway...I think it looks pretty awesome and I have 2 Escalades to do up next.

$80k for a Yukon? Jesus christ! I paid less than $40k for mine, including kandy red paint, blood red leather (incl. dash & headliner), 3/4 suspension drop and 22" rims.

$80k could've gotten you 2 Yukons. Or a Yukon and a H2.

I am in Canada, and we have a yellow H2

Looks good, but ti definatly needs airbags. IMO, you should loose that brush guard, and those rain deflectors over the windows.

Overall, nice truck.

I personally like the Brushguard. Gives it an aggressive "I-hate-traffic-so-I-push-it-out-of-my-way" look or a "Get-out-of-my-way-or-I'll-get-you-out-of-my-way" look :p...

I'd like to see a closer shot of the whole front fascia, including the wheels and front bar thing if possible!

Good-looking truck!

Do me a favor. Take a picture of all of your car's next to each other parked in your driveway. I want to see the Viper, Aston Matrin, Lightning, Mercedes, Escalade #1, Escalade #2, Yukon, Hummer H2, DS650, and whatever else all in one picture. And, if you could, have someone take a picture of you standing in front of them all wearing a shirt that says, "Josh is God.":p Not really, though.

Anyhoo, why'd you go with 22's? 22's are sooo two years ago.:D They're nothing special, really. I see like 4 soccer mom's driving SUV's with 20's/22's everday. I mean some trucks come stock with 20's, and larger. Why not go for 24's, 26's, or even 28's? Too poor to afford those?;)

BTW- If all of those are your car's...what the **** do your parents drive, why haven't I seen it in any of your pictures, and where in God's name do they park? I know damn well you don't have a 79 car garage.

Also- It looks good for what it is. If it were mine I'd lower it, remove those rain guards from the windows, remove the brush guard unless I planned a trip to the safari in the near future, and take those plastic step up molding things off.

BTW- Got any pictures of your old Corvette? What year, and type, was it?

yukons rule, shiny rims look very ricey but still good

i saw a yukon setting off car alarms as it passed parked cars cause of the rumble of its engine

totally sweet :D

does it have as much room inside as it looks from the outside? whenever i see it, it blocks out the sun :D

I'm with Josh on the rims, while I think yours look good, I would have gotten at leas 24"s, I'm not a fan of 26"s, but to each his own.

I still don't like the brush guard, but what ever, it's not MY truck. Also, get that ***** shaved, loose the moldings and door handles man!. Heh, another thing, get the OLD Escalade front end conversion, I hate the new ones :irked:

I had 26's on the Yukon when I first bought mine, but I went through 2 sets of brake pads in about 3 months, so I sold the 26's and bought 22" spinners and a "Flame Grill" and exhaust. The bigger the wheel, the harder it is to stop.

personally i dont see the attraction with large SUV's rolling around on 22" wheels and i definitely dont see the attraction of spending 80K on one so i have to say that in my opinion i hate it, but thats just me

oh man, that would be insane.

2.5 revving to 10 grand, possibly 350hp

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

see, now that would be money well spent.

you ever seen videos of the e30 rallying? my friend just got a compilation dvd of like 5 hours of rally footage. each disc, of 2. I thought it was much cooler than the DTM cars. european rural roads, through towns, catching air, sliding about. It was so sweet, the sound of a wailing s14 with race exhaust fitted as the soundtrack.

Gee, it must be nice to have a lot of money, lol. Where do you get it all if you don't mind me asking?

When I first saw the word chrome, I figured oh great, ugly exotic things. Sorry, just not a big fan of those fancy chrome wheels people get if you know what I mean. But I must say that the truck looks very nice.

hey rumple see where bragging gets you?

bragging in thread--->resentment because source of money surfaces---->backlash----->closed thread

rumple why dont u record some videos of those cars being driven fast or the engines when u rev them up and stuff so we can all enjoy them!

oh and for 100k i'd be buying an SL55 or an e39 m5 not an suv. i didnt realise they cost that much! its just a lounge on wheels.. can't be hard to build or require much refinement :D

Apparently you've never seen a lowered suv 20-22" spinners gliding down the freeway.

:D
