Hey guys, I posted back when I first built my rig at the shop I work at a while ago here:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=213382

Well, For my birthday, my wife bought me the Fanatec CSR Value Pack XL, with the CSR wheel, CSR Elite pedals, and shifter set. Soon the center post began to bug me while trying to use the brake and clutch, so I worked through a few lunch breaks and made myself a side post wheel plate, plus a shifter mount, and re-did the pedal mount plate. I am currently working on making my own inversion kit for the pedals. Here are some pics, P.S. I am buying wire ties soon!:dopey:

As for the double shifers, I just use the sequential one for handbrake when playing rally games, and the 6 speed + clutch for games which support it.

Thanks guys! here is what I started work on today

LOL I take it they are to invert your pedals right? I can see them looking slick.

Yes indeed, that's what they are for. I marked up the holes today when I got home, and i'm going to drill them on the press tomorrow and have them powder coated.

:)

looks really good...keep it up!

thanks, I keep saying to myself "after this, i'll be done..." and then I frivolously try to think of something else to add to it. Seems that I spend more time working on it than I do driving it. I guess I'll add this while i'm at it, I cut all of these out of .125 aluminum. I wanted to do way more but haven't had the time at work...

^^^ you've got to be kidding me. If you don't make me some of those I will track you down and steal yours! Lol awesome sauce

I don't know where you work, but you should definitely suggest to your boss that making those tracks could be big business. I'd happily pay for a set 👍

Nice rig too, the pedal inversion looks slick

nice setup I have my shifters setup simular to yours. This is an old picture
I have the H-shifter on the top now.

Thanks for all the complements guys! The inversion kit will be done today, and I'll finally get it all back together.

As for the aluminum race tracks; back when I first thought them up and made them, I still had a boss that was a sim racer too, and totally "got it" and was always up for letting me make racing / sim related things at work. Well, he quit, and my current bosses don't quite "get it" I have actually been making the newest rig bits while one of them has been on vacation, to make sure I get no flak for it. I drew all the race tracks in AutoCAD and then I cut them out using the WaterJet that we have... Currently the WaterJet is down, waiting on a part that I wont have until somewhere in early June.

When I do get the part, I will see what I can do about the race tracks. As for selling the tracks, I have mentioned it before. I don't think the potential profit for it is worth the hassle for them honestly, and I really really doubt they'd let me sell them on my own. LOL getting paid to make things that I get paid to sell, in my dreams!

Anyways, thanks again everyone!

Forgot reply to this, I love that shifter mount...Wish I would have thought of that myself. The rods are just too flimsy, but since I only pull the shifter back to use it as a handbrake, I will just deal with it.

I'm sorry Mayaman, I will try to figure something out.

In other news, just finished putting it all back together. I might need to adjust the rake a bit, but here is how it looks:

Like I said on the other forum holy $hit. You should sell these and make some money. You obviously have skills. I wish I had a shop, I'd go berserk.

Thanks it's nowhere near as pro as yours. It looks better in the the picture than
it does IRL, but works really good.

I seen a thread at F-wheel.com where a guy ran a nut and bolt thru the rods to
sturdy them up a bit. maybe you could make a cover to slip down over the top
between the wheel & shifter run a couple of nut & bolts thru it. That might stiffen
it up plus it would look pro.( sorry I could'nt find a link on f-wheel if I find it i'll post it)

Which track is that in the top row middle?

A really nice looking rig and the reverse mount is just sleek and looks very solid.
Great work, but my absolute favorite is the Nürburgring on your track wall.
I'm currently looking for a company that does laser or water cut for some other parts.
But cutting the track is really a great idea, specially if the track would be on a vinyl plate and had some background lighting ;)
keep it up !!

Thanks man! I am going to cut a few more Nurburgrings when I get the machine back up and running next month. Tomorrow I am going to get a bit of a sound system for the rig. One of the Logitech 5.1 deal's...Birthday money burning a hole in my pocket! :sly:

Very nice rig indeed. I recently rebuild my own rig to get rid of that pesky centre post. Mine isn't nearly as sleek as yours though. Good job! :-)
