I dont see any Custom User Text anywhere and its kinda late ova here so can you help me out

You can't 'cos you need 500 posts to change the text under your name, and 100 posts to change the avatar to one you choose (whatever).

Here's the final image, review coming soon:

I was watching it again... the first corner is amazing, it was so close to the dirt (time: 13:500):

Okay Ayumi-san, I'm not the best drifter around but I can tell where you'll need to improve:

Trial Mountain
1) During the turn after the 2nd tunnel... turn left before you finished passing the tunnel... about 3/4 of it.
2) During the last turn when going downhill, go slower.
3) In the turn after that... you entered the turn without making the tire squeal... it seems that you've entered the corner in a low speed.
4) In the S turns before you finished a lap... just keep taping (tap tap tap... ) the accelator while holding right after you finished the first corner.

Now i'm going to sleep... it's 7am

Ayumi. for beginner drift those were pretty good :D 👍 keep it up!

-19xx where did you get those editing progs? splitter? easy X converter?

had to update to windows media 9...har har. ok well i watched it..it seems like the settings are holding you back. i've seen those settings for the RX-7..and they aren't very realistic. try buying a new RX-7, only fit these parts:

sim tires
racing exhaust
full suspension
racing intercooler
chip

then adjust your ride height all the way down
camber should be 3.0 0.5
toe should be 0.5 -1.0

thats all you have to do to most cars to drift virtually any turn in the game..lemme know how it turns out.

a lot of times people have too much hp or wacky settings when they try to use sim tires. that RX-7 boasts 334hp and was used in my drift challenge video.

Good Job!!!

I see what you mean by wiggling on the exits... Your lap around midfiled looked like one of mine when i began drifting... even though i preffered the reverse... I thought it was fantastic esp your first corner... The second one was good too... and so was the hair... Trial mountain is a bit harder to drift on because of elevation changes... but you did pretty well there as well... Keep it up...

You are on slicks right now??? i forgot....
But keep on doing slicks... and also try setting cars up for sims with lower hp by atleast 100-200 hp depending on power... with sims you could drift a bit longer... and your drifts would be even more impressive.... However if you are on slicks right now i would suggest continueing with them for a bit... getting used to controlling cars and such... becuase if you ever do try sims... throttle control is extremely important and high speeds are a no no...

one more thing... what song is that... i remember an old member VINKETO used that sond with his zzII and i liked it alot... what is it (reminds me of an anime intro lol)...

Ayumi, great consistency for a beginner! I don't know that there's much we can say that would help you at this point, it looks like you've definetely got the right idea. The only thing I would recommend is don't be afraid to turn in earlier. Get the car good and sideways before the corner, so that when you start putting power down, it pushes you toward the inside of the corner. The sharp u-turn in Midfield was very good, except of course the little twitch at the exit. I also think that you would really benefit from using a steering wheel instead of regular controller. Anyway, great vid! Practice, practice, practice =)

Yeah that is some good advice perg... practice is definitely the next step..

BTW... this is the absolute most posts i have seen for a new vid lol... seems everyone has to say to the very first openly female drifter on gtp lol... you should feel priveledged lol... usually you get its good practice and go away but not for you lol... :D... you are special ...

anyways that was off topic and probably uncalled for... hope you didnt interpret it as rude :D... that is not how i meant it lol... you think i could get hte name of the song...

the song is Suikoden III - Ai o Koete and thinx for the replys i think i know what your talking about when you say turn eraly so im sideways b4 a turn im working on it and with sim tyers im spining out alot or just stop so ill stick with slicks till i get better

You're right bengee, this thread has gotten a lot of attention! A female that drifts is just about every guy's wet dream so I'm willing to bet it would be pretty hard for you to make any enemies here.

Sims are very hard but they teach you a lot faster, if you ask me. I started on Softs and my drifting was good but it lacked that refined style that real-life drifters have. Once I switched to sims I made a big improvement.

If you haven't tried any of my settings, you should try my Trueno's settings. They are sims but the car is very controllable and does whatever you tell it to. I learned a lot of things driving that car.

You can also get a demonstration of how I drive the car here:

Yeah, sim tires are a lot harder to learn with, but they are probably the best tires for exhibition drifting. The thing that I found the hardest about learning to drift with sims was learning to take better lines through corners. With grippier tires it seems like you don't need to have a perfect line coming through a corner, you can brake later and make more mistakes in a drift and still not spin out (though you may end up gaining traction half way through a drift and just driving out of it), but with sim tires, you have to learn to take better lines and learn to brake sooner because if you don't, you're either going sliding off the track into the grass/wall/sand, or just spinning out. At least it seems that way to me.

New vid sometime next week with all black cars and a gothy bgm

i use the ss 86 set up and it is very hard for me right now but ilm still working on it i was wondering how dose cudaman do the spin out to a drift

saty with the tires you are using now. and change tires periodically when you know how to use each. get it. just change tires when you've mastered the ones that are on. if you do that you can get to sims!
