Well, it's big news for me, so why the hell not post a thread about it? Anyway here's the story:

Well, on monday, our next door neighbor notifyed us that there was water running from the edge of our yard. So we call the water people, and they didn't come till, well, about an hr ago. The water was running the whole time, and I was so hoping it would explode, but it didn't/hasn't. So they're out there now, they dug down to it, and found the leak. There's a whole crew out there now, they have to replace part of the pipe, so the water's gonna be turned off for a bit.

Here's a pic of the situation(BTW, the pics suck cause I was being eaten alive by the bugs out there)

yea I was hoping that it would explode....how cool would it be to see a huge stream of water shoot up through the ground, and realize that you don't have to pay a penny to fix it?

What a Wipe?

This thread is another sign of being on GTP way to long

yea, it's totally soaked...really the pipe is on the property line, so our yard and the niebors yard are both well soaked...too bad the rest of the yards are totally dry...

 Yowza! How might that be? J/K! :p

I noticed in this pic that everything is wet. Is everything in your yard this way Maz?

Take a pic of one of the crew members flipping you off or something, to make the pics more interesting.:p Or throw some fireworks into that hole and take a pic of their reaction while they're in there with them going off.:D

part of it, where the main runs, the yard is angled away from the rest of the yard...we have a good area that is soaked though...

It's all over, they finished. Water is back on, our yard is soaked even more than it was, and there's a fair amount of mud...

This thread is dead...

sure is.....wheres that guy when you need him to close the thread (you know who im talking about! the guy who sings the dowa diddi song all the time)

yea lol, they said "unless it has exploded or is flooding a basement, we will send a crew out within 48 hrs..."

bunch of crap, but they fixed it. Now we have a roped off area with mud...

I came home from work one night about 10pm to find my neighbor's front lawn all bubbled up. There was a mound where there didn't used to be a mound, but it was grassy like it had always been that way. I thought this was rather strange until I saw the river flowing out of the yard.

So I parked and walked over there to get a closer look. I would estimate there was 30 gallons of water coming out of the ground every minute. It was moving pretty good. I called the utility people and they came out with huge backhoes and pipe trucks.

My neighbor was actually on vacation at the time, and was a little displeased to see his beautiful lawn torn to hell, but glad that everything was handled nicely without his intervention.
