It didn't even occur to me until just now, but the qualifying results for this year's Nürburgring 6 Hour race might actually be rather interesting to compare to.

The pole-setting Porsche 919 Hybrid did a best lap of 1:36.192. That's a lot faster than anything I've driven here (well, with me behind the wheel, anyway) except the X2014 Fan Car and the Tomahawk X.

In LMGTE Pro, the pole-setting Ferrari 458 did a 1:54.159. That'd be 12th on my list—faster than the '97 McLaren F1 GTR and slower than the LMP1 2015 Nissan GT-R LM NISMO. (Which wasn't running here because, ya know, it sucks. ;) )

It's a damn shame I can't test out a virtual version of those cars to see how I'd do in them. Or the other LMGTE Pro cars (i.e., the Aston Martin Vantage V8 and the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR). Maybe in GT7...? :(

Closest thing we have is the 2011 R18 TDI, but the 2015 LMP1 cars are apparently a good bit faster than they were even last year, much less the 2011 cars. In fact, the Le Mans qualifying results alone are rather telling:

2011 R18 TDI: 3:25.738
2015 R18 e-tron quattro: 3:19.866

(They didn't run the Nürburgring GP course in 2011, so no numbers to look at there.)
