I'm like you , I've run countless laps on the ring ( none in real life though ) ,really looking forward for this to come to GT5 , I think on-line will be a total blast ( pending : who you are racing against.)

Actually, the 'Ring may be part of the salvation of online. Wall-riding, for one, is 100% impossible on that track. People that don't drive it properly will be left behind early on in the race, leaving the real drivers to actually compete.

Agreed. Damage would certainly help as well.

I was also thinking about car contact, no way!!! not the ring :ouch:
It's going to be really annoying if they allow this on the Ring. Letting the car go through me like a ghost is fine with me. Simply because we can't control who we race against.

I think it would be sweet if it was just a continual event ran by the server. I recently found the camera they have at the entrance where you can see all the amazing cars pulling up to enter the track. Wouldn't it be cool if you entered the server and that is where your car appeared and you pulled on to do as many laps as you wanted? People could join and leave as they saw fit it would be like a free run! Or they could also have servers where you could have events on that track. Like BMW's only, or Lotus Fest. Ferrari Fever!

Man I cannot WAIT for the actual game. I have a feeling it will be crammed with SO MUCH CONTENT it will take a while just to get familiarized with it all. Drifting, Endurance, Rally, drag, hill climb, abd everything else you can think of for a racing event. Car Shows for the guys into extreme modding for looks, Custom Paint, extreme custom tuning, tracks out the ying yang. Cannot wait. I have a feeling they are going to release the Ultimate Driving Game.

I am sure that Nürburgring will reappear in either GT5P or GT5. The relevant question is will it appear in both.

Yep, they had playable demos of Nurburgring and Sarthe at Le Mans this year.

Both may come with the Fall update, but then again they may not. We will just have to see how PD plays it.

Guess what Sherlock, if you don't like it you don't have to use it. But PLEASE don't put it down because you do not understand it. I take it you probably have never modded a car in the slightest way? Maybe you don't own an actual car and this game is the closest you will ever get to driving in real life? Maybe you are one of the guys who can't stand a car in any other form than exact from the factory? Whatever the case may be do not put down extra features that would rule, PLEASE! Like I said if it isn't your thing, don't use it.
 
I saw that video too, and are hoping to see the ring on Gt5p soon!!

Too many people talked about the Ring, therefore I went out and got GT4 last week- used Toyota Superautobuckas (or something like that) first 2laps of the Ring, amazing! It was difficult! Span out, blind cornersBut I'm still learning, I thought Suzuka was hard the first couple of times too.


Anyways I was shocked over how good GT4 from the OLD Playstation 2 looked and feel and all that content!! (on the PS3 btw) - Man gotta love the Ring's bumpy roads on the G25! Right now Gt5p is on hold, gotta learn and respect the Ring!
