I noticed something for the past couple of days while racing online. A lot of people seem to drive 4wd cars and they brake in the middle of a turn. I clearly see their brake lights go on when they hit the apex, while exiting a turn, etc. It makes me chuckle really how they probably couldnt handle a MR or RWD car so they stuck with their little Evos. (it's mostly Evo Xs that I see doing this).

No offense to the Evo X drivers here, if its the car that compliments you best, hats off for doing well with that underpowered car. I'm a Mine's R34 myself because it really suits my lead foot, especially coming out of corners. I just find it funny at the people that don't seem to have a clue about racing lines and braking techniques, etc.

Maybe they're paying too much attention at the driving line that the game shows you, in a lot of cases it tells you to brake mid-apex.

Is your period key broken? I can't seem to find a point anywhere in your post.

Nope, I counted no less than 7. And 5 commas. ;)

I agree, Ive seen some terrible driving lines and braking techniques, and many include hitting my car..

All we need is for the penalty system to be tweaked and people will stop pushing other peoples cars around. Yes, many bad drivers on the road, most times you only need to drive steady to win.

I hate to jump on the Evo X bandwagon, but the car honestly is the best thing for me when I'm farming cash in Suzuka, I couldn't get my times down in the Lotus 111R online, so I jumped in an Evo X and after some tuning I was able to smash my 111R times, now personally I don't think I have a crazy driving line, I've raced with plenty of the people on these boards (though I dunno if they noticed me XD) but after using my Evo X so much in the past couple of days, I've noticed a lot of people starting to get them and not knowing when to brake/accelerate in corners, and generally losing anywhere from 0.5 per lap to 1.5s per lap to people who actually use the Evo X correctly, it's a nice car, just a pain in the rear sometimes, heavy understeer under hard acceleration ;;~

The Evo's are ok but they are not race winning cars. The best one by far is the Clio V6 tuned.
I dont like to sound like a big head but i win most of my online races and its always the Clio's dominating the top 5-6 places.
If you think im full of crap look out for maw-motors-ltd in your next race

Gah! Clio V6 tuned are the bane of my life on 600pp. I'm sure it's not everyone but it seems like you have to become a rammer as soon as you get in it. I feel like I'm yet to overtake one on the Fuji straight without them trying to push me off the track when we're side by side... Atleast they also have a penchant for flying into the sandtrap on corner 1 though. Swings and roundabouts eh.

It is definitely the best car for those races though which is a shame... no variety.

you drive that red Evo X right? didnt know you was a GTP member raced you a lot at suzuka yesterday in the red amuse s2000. you're pretty damn fast, i won the first couple races then i kept coming in second behind of you. i usually just leave the rest of the pack behing when i race a suzuka but yesterday i kept making silly mistakes cuz i was under a lot of pressure, good racing.

I'm a fan of the tuned Evo IX but only use it on london to get fantastic drive out of the many slow corners:tup: Great car for passing down into turn 1:sly:

Using it on a track like suzuka just takes the fun out of it because the back end just doesn't step out and you never worry about flying off the track.

As a 'newbie' (please don't use nOOb, it's so childish and insulting - unless that's what you're aiming for, but I hope it wasn't) the thing that has improved my driving more than anything is turning the racing line off.
And maybe it's because I'm a 'newbie', but I find cars like the Evo much easier to handle than the ubiqutous Ford GT's. Do you ever see many people online who *can* handle the GT?
