so recently ive taken my n64 out of the box and played some:
perfect dark
golden eye
zelda ocarina
its actually nice to play it on my puter AND the fact that i have a universal s-video cable. graphics look pretty good 👍

i have the expansion pak, which heats up like a mofo, infact the game freezes in about 1 hours play when playing Perfect Dark.

NOW i want to know if anybody has actually tried putting a cpu fan on top of the expansion pak, and connected it through the n64's power supply & on/off switch.

and if anybody knows of any Nintendo forums, or N64 forums....

Sorry this is bit off-topic, but maybe those classics will all be available on Nintendo's Revolution...... if we're lucky.

As for cooling the N64, how about standing it on its' side or lifting it off the bottom surface with stands, while parking it in front of a fan. It's bit messy, but I think it'll be effective. :D

a6 you're a pretty swell guy, sorry bout trying to get you riled up on the ridgeline.

my bros a honda tech so he knows his stuff, im 100% sure if honda continues with the ridgeline it will be a force. somewhat like the oddesey, those things were ugly as dogs when they first came out, now they look sweet and pack a punch.

back to topic, i have always wanted to put a cpu fan + heatsink on the n64's expansion bay, just need some insite on how it can be done while running on n64 power and going on/off in conjunction to the n64 switch...

How good was perfect dark? It was a game i kept meaning to buy and never ended up getting. I had the expansion pak and never had a problem with overheating i could play ocarina of time all day without a care in the world :)

perfect dark is a game you will love if you liked golden eye you will like PD, this game has so many purposeful guns, it woud be a mistake NOT to get this game, specally the price it is today. (i spent $50 usd when it first came out)
