My friend really liked the 2D at Laguna Seca. Said it felt like it was made for turn 4 (or whatever turn is two turns before the corkscrew). Be sure to turn the volume up as well, the thing sounds wicked.

Rally de Umbria - F1 car, please try this one!!! its amazing, possibly the tightest track with the fastest accelerating car, what a rush honestly, my best time was 1:17 i think

I believe I tried that to win a couple of the Special Events. I believe that the a-spec points were minimal in the FGT...... But, if I remember I also found braking problematic in some places, and had terminal understeer into some corners, because none of the wheels were touching the ground :D

I have a game where im at 80% but i started a new one recently. I have 4 cars:

'95 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo ~480hp: Fugi 80's (Torque!!!!)
'83 Honda Civic 1500 3door 25i ~140hp: Autumn Ring Mini
'90 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo R ~345hp: High Speed Ring
'91 Honda Civic SiR-II ~198hp: Hong Kong

All cars have kept their original aspiration when modifying.

1) Shelby Cobra or Mercury Cougar with N3, no driving aids at all, on the Ring BUT both with racing gearbox...
2) Caterham on the Infinineon, with N3, stock, no driving aids at all.
3) BMW M3 CSL and 2002 Turbo on Suzuka, stock, with N3, no driving aids at all.
4) Peugeot 205T16 on the Tsukuba, with S1, stock, no driving aids at all.
5) Pescarolo on la Sarthe, with S1, stock, no driving aids at all.

1. Infenion Raceway with the '00 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - modified to my specifications. It rocks even harder when you have GT's and Esperante's breathing down your neck.

2. Mid-Field Raceway with the '00 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - modified to my specifications. This track is perhaps the most tame, yet one of the most entertainning tracks in the game. It's very predictable - especially if you consider how many times I run it every time I play. My car is well tuned to my idea of the perfect racer. You add the predictable track up with a Z06 that I modified, you get one hell of a fun time. Quick, quick, quick lap times - this allows me to tune and tweak whatever to make the Z06 even better.

3. Laguna Seca Raceway with the '00 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - modified to my specifications. This track is on the same page with Mid-Field in my book.

Tom's chaser tuned to about 380hp with n3 tires on the autum ring no driver aids. So much fun to me. Suzuki gsxr/4 on La Sarthe 1(with chicanes) is really fun too.

Berrern
Definitely the Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car, on Nurburgring Nordschleife!

Trying to keep the car on the road in 350+ km/h between Bergwerk and Klostertal, without letting go of the gas pedal, is definitely the most intense experience I've had with the PS2!
The huge speeds you reach with this car, makes the DFP go totally wild - and using all your muscles to keep the wheel straight is just.. awesome :D

Weak moment for you there, buddy :p

Using all your muscles to keep the DFP straight.!

I can't go past the F1 and the 'ring but I'm also a fan of tail happy cars and Autumn Ring mini, muscle cars and seattle reverse, and you can't go past any rally car on Cathedral II in reverse, that jump at the end is awesome!!!

BMW 330i tuned to 331HP w/ M3 wheels on the Nurburgring, w/ various upgrades.

I still think its could look better, but its just so damn forgiving and easy to drive fast throught the ring. In braking and cornering transition its very precise. Even in stock form its good there. I like to imagine I've rented it at the Frankfurt airport and I am taking it around the ring during a european vacation. Too bad there isn't the realistic traffic. Just check out the web for nurb videos to see what I mean.

Have to admit, Tsukuba is growing on me ...

And, surprisingly, so is rally. I guess it's a case of "repeated play ensures success" (to quote the wipEout manuals). There was a time when I could barely keep up in a 20-point rally race, but I actually managed a pair of 55-pointers (Swiss Alsp Reverse/Hard and Grand Canyon Normal/Hard), but a 72-pointer against a 1999 WRX (Grand Canyon Reverse/Hard).

But my favouite rally combinations would have to be on Tahiti Maze. Especailly with the Group B cars (205 T16 E2, 5 Turbo Maxi, 240RS). It's the only one to survive from GT2 and looks sweeeeeeeeeet.

My favorite car/track changes with the weather. After watching the 24 hours of Le Mans, I built an Aston Martin db9 as close to the real ones in the race as I could and ended up wasting alot of time just doing laps on la Sarthe, the car/track combo was just so fun.

Peugot 206 Rally around Cathedral Rock 1 or RS200 Road car around Swiss Alps.

RE Amemiya AsparaDrink RX-7 '04 :D

Okay, I'm racing it in the JGTC series here on GTP at the moment, so I'm a little biased, but damn this car is on rails. Perhaps a tad underpowered, but it is a GT300 car. If you haven't tried it (it's a bit obscure) I highly recommend you do 👍

Audi R8 at La Sarthe I. This thing just feels perfect for that track.
Spyker C8 Laviolette at El Capitan. Awesome fun for drifting.

car nissan 350z lm race car
track el capitan
that is fun cause you can hit turns perfect with that car cause it handles awesome

wilsonk
I can get 26 laps with my volvo wagon on N'ring stock with E1 tires, beat that!!!

LMAO!!

For me... hmm.. 💡

I do love driving the Ruf Yellow Bird with super soft slicks around the nurb., basically it's just insane... Anyone agree with this? :D:D:D

you have a good sense of humor and choice in cars. This game is all about fun which can be had in many different ways. The Yellow Bird if nothing else is FUN.
