Yeah, I was looking at it, and the only thing that I'm liking about it is the updated car customization, if that even appears on the PS3, if it has the same lousy physics as the NASCAR 08 Demo, PS3 version was awful, drafting didn't work at Daytona, a tiny tap sends you out of control, damage was better, but it seemed like they screwed everything up so you would wreak so you could say "Oh, look at the pretty crash", PS2 version was great IMO though.

i had a go on the demo last night from the usa store,
and imo its not good at all
its like playing a bad ps2 racing game
i wouldnt waste your time downloading it

Actually, I found it quite fun, like a PS2 game. If you've ever played the demo for the PS3 version of 08, you'll know that going back to the PS2 style for a bit really helps.

So, IMO, it's great, if you compare it to what we did have.

I find that its not very great; now it seems like I'm the only kind of gamer for GT a realistic racing video game and personally I find the nascar games to be crap.:yuck:

I miss Underground 2 where it was realistic graphically and in gameplay without messing it up like some other games.

I'm not exactly sure how the ratings system there works, but it's got a bunch on 1's and 2's.

Also, turn all the driving assists off and it's actually quite decent.

I would estimate EA's NASCAR games are 10 years behind Papyrus' NASCAR games.

One example is they're just now getting custom paint jobs and Papyrus had that in the 90s.

Also, Papyrus had online modes supporting 43 drivers forever, what are EA's games stuck at, 16?

I don't think EA will ever match Papyrus or even come close, they're far too lazy and for the casual gamer to do that.

I remember racing EA's NASCAR Sim Racing that came out a few years ago. Online if you damaged your car any you would get teleported to your pit.

I paid $30 for the game but I would give it away for free.

NASCAR sim racing fans, find a copy of NASCAR 2003 for the PC by Papyrus if you want the pinnacle of NASCAR sim racing.

Has anyone here Made a custom car? I need some serious help doing so. I'm using photoshop elements.

How exactly does custom cars work in EA's game?

With Papyrus' game you exported the paint into a image file then uploaded it to your favorite image program.

I used microsoft paint, primitive but it got the job done. I have no idea how to work fancy things like photoshop.

Here are some of the custom cars I made:

At the openspeedway.net forums there is some guys who would paint cars for you, but you have to sign up to view the forum

I think you download a template in one of three formats depending on whatever program you use from EAsports.com then download AC3D to display your template in 3D along with the Nvidia Plug-in. I pretty much lost on everything else as its too complicated to remember.

Well, I bought this on Friday (and if you've seen me online, I've been playing it :p) Quite fun, especially with the wheel.

I've already made a few cars to race with, a Beatles-themed-one and Jimmie Johnson's Nationwide car from a few weeks ago (Was Requested).

Man, I've made about eight cars and I don't have a PS3 or the game yet. I can't wait to race once I get it though.

Ah, so is anyone playing this? I've started to venture out into online, but I've spent 90% of my time just making cars in the game (Apparently my cars are good enough that I have been promoted to a site artist at BigAlGrafx)

Here's some pictures of what I've done if anyone is interested:

I'm getting sometime this week, but it'll be about a week before my PS3 comes. The suspense is killing me:indiff:
