every nascar race has boost enabled. it punishes the lead pack and rewards dirty racers. the drivers who crashes at the start make it back to the front of the pack in 2 laps or less. anyone here who has been online knows exactly what im talking about. i asked the guy to take boost off and he said it's called strategy noob. lol? i could make my own race but that's not the point in my opinion. anyone encountered this?

No offence dude, but that is the point, if you don't like what restrictions or conditions other people are having in a race, then you have the option to set up your own room and lounge and race how you want to.

Keep looking at the Online section of this forum, as you will probably find cleaner and fairer racers advertising races here, or you will find likeminded people to race with. 👍

Also, I am not having a go at you, but please use proper punctuation and capital letters in your posts as the moderators here are very strict on this site, it's just a bit of friendly advice. :)

Honestly I played a nascar 25lap race with high boost and about 11 people and it was the funnest race i have ever had online, going 4 wide around half the track is pretty cool.

On the plus side for you, most likely in February when Nascar 2010 comes out many of them will migrate over there if it is at all decent.

While having boost on makes for unreaistic racing, having it off can make for a boring race. I'm not a NASCAR fan but was in a room once where they wanted to try it for a bit. If a couple of people do crash and you end up being so far in the lead they can't catch you it's usually so boring that I will slow down anyways just so it is a real race. If I am the one that crashes it is boring because I spend the rest of the race by myself. (and sometimes all it takes is sideswiping the wall and getting the few second penalty to pretty much ruin the whole race.

I dunno, maybe they were more worried about having fun in a race then winning by a huge margin. Doesn't sound very e-thug to me. Actually, sounds like the opposite.

maybe what he means "strategy" is not to frustate people, and to keep the room crowded.. :D

If you're not going to create your own rooms, you may want to try not joining rooms that allow boost. Personally, I don't see the fun in driving your butt off only to lose the race on the last lap to the chucklehead who took themselves and half the field out in the opening seconds. If people want close competition, they should drive better, faster.
