Nascar Racers in Extreme does Pit Maneuver (Daytona).

Seriously, these Nascar AIs can go to the depths of hell and suck it. I'm on the 9th lap and it always happens. It almost seems like they're doing it on purpose. I never cursed so much to my television like today.

I'm currently on level 22, grinding to level 23. Any tips on how to clear this event?
 
I gave up on that event because the same thing was happening to me. Whether I raced out in front and hugged the wall hoping they wouldn't ram/pit me, or whether I stayed behind the pack until the final turn it didn't matter.
 
I used my GameStop Nascar ...car for this series. It's quick enough to outrun everyone on the field.
 
It happened to me on the second lap (I was in first place). Luckily I was doing the championship and the guy behind me points wise couldn't win it from just one race.

exactly what happened for me. now that ive won the championship, i can go back and try to get get just that races gold trophy at any time i want.

The same has happened to me on numerous occasions, usually when I'm minding my own business sticking behind and drafting the lead car. I've won every race in the NASCAR event except Daytona where I've always been slammed into the wall by an AI opponent.

I'm level 22 as well and I still have the DTM and Super GT events to go and won't have to grind. Do your special events making sure you all gold every rally event and Sebastien Loeb rally challenge, they're really easy and guarantee a ton of xp
 
Same thing happened to me every time. That's the only race there that I haven't got gold in, and I don't plan on trying again for quite a while.
 
I hate Nascar drafting so much. After countless tries I finally won by staying in last place until the last turn of the 9th lap then quickly overtook everyone. Staying in the middle of the pack is a death wish.

Aggresive dumb AI is dumb.
 
Hot Tip: Don't cut across an opponents line 👍 The AI now is alert of your presence but that doesn't mean they will just move off their line when you move across them, they will rightfully hold their line.
 
Just hold your line, pick high or low. Have had no problem with this personally, won it first time.

You can also just wait till the last lap and then go for the lead, personally I enjoyed being bump drafted over the line!
 
:lol: I got PITT'd in the Last event of the Jeff Gordon Challenge. The thing that got me is that we were on a straight!

It looked to me like the CPU racer thought he was too far from the racing line, and had to get back on it, even if it meant going straight through me! :crazy:
 
They PIT everywhere! Vickers got me going down the front straight at Grand Valley! I simply drove passed him and he dive bombed my left rear! I'm serious, he took a swipe at me! Almost like they are trying to pull in behind to catch your draft, but the calculations seem amiss!

The Indy race is an insane cakewalk, after that it's a feeding frenzy! They didn't do this crap in the B-Spec races.
 
Take some downforce off the car and shorten the gear ratio slightly. Did it and was ahead for the whole race :)
