Looks solid so far, but I don't quite understand the logic in releasing a NASCAR game:

1. Two weeks before the NASCAR season ends.
2. On the same day as Halo 4, and one week before Black Ops 2.

Because FPS fans and NASCAR fans are two seperate genres? They aren't even in the same market so I don't see what that has to do with anything.

There are always exceptions, and I'm one of them. Both genres interest me. I'll only be getting all three because money isn't an issue (not right now at least). I'm probably the biggest NASCAR fan within a 100 mile radius of here, but if I had to pick only one to purchase, it wouldn't be NTG '12. Last year's failure hasn't given me a lot of faith in Eutechnyx's ability to produce a solid NASCAR title.

I really love the lighting in this game, now all the daytime tracks no longer have that late evening look. Also, I hope I can set the car up where I can get that front tire of the ground at Sonoma, I tryed it on 2011 and could never pull it off.
 
Has this game got a UK release date??..i'd be interested! :)

I already love the fact that we no longer have to make our own contigencies so thats a big plus 👍

Looks like we won't have to type a number on anymore either.

I really hope we have to e transitions. If not, I might not be buying this. It's in my GameFly Queue though
 
According to the latest facebook driver vote, Austin Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jnr, and Johanna Long are in NTG IL or at least possible as NW drivers.

Cool that the majority of paint schemes will be in. BUT, of it does not have time transitions on all tracks, I probably won't buy it.
 
Regan SMith wanted to be NTG2011 but it was too late for him to be in, so he is for sure. The drivers / liveries marked with asterisks are known to be in.
 
I know nothing about NASCAR (it's not exactly popular here) but I'd buy this, I think I'm starting to see the appeal in it. That is on three conditions though: This is a sim and not a game, it doesn't suck and it's on PC.

1)It's not a sim even though a sim racer (Richard Towler) works for the company. Let me clarify this. The game will not be a full sim but it will have some sim-like features to keep the hardcore crowd happy and allow the casual crowd for a nice experience.
2) NTG11 was pretty bad for the company's first NASCAR game so it might be better.
3)As of now, no PC. That could change though. Remember it could change.

I will wait maybe a month or two to buy it. I bought NTG11 at release and the game was just broken. Plus, my fall is another empty wallet season, with Forza Horizon, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Assassin's Creed 3 and that is just October.
 
Physics look just as wobbly and annoying. Grrr, spend another year on sorting out the core of the game instead of reproducing the same thing with new paint schemes.
