After reading this, I absolutely agree. Hell, I regret saying what I said.

I agree with almost every word there - despite the fact that I never actually hated Kyle. Guys like Solid Fro can't possibly hold on to the Karma Busch stuff for that long - it was one spin, ages ago...

That article also holds true for many other motorsports, too. Many Brits and Spaniards hate the opposite side of the Alonso/Hamilton dispute - but fact is, both of them are (relatively) young drivers with talent and skill that few others have, both with many successful years ahead of them, and while they might never be best buddies, they'll have to get along some time. Busch and Earnhardt, too.

Well, I think its time to reflect on a predictions from earlier in the year:

Do you think Toyota will win at least five more races before the season ends? Who do you think will be the highest-placed Toyota driver in NASCAR when the season ends?

My answer:

I do and I'm thinking that With gibbs being the strongest toyota team, one of those drivers, possibly Kyle, most likely be the highest placed driver

As of now, Kyle Busch is the strongest Toyota driver leading the pointsa and toyota have toppled my expectations by winning 9 times this season in cup.

Funny enough, my response to both the Horsepower penalty and then the Post race penalty was the same:

I'm just gonna say this: you can't stop domination. They really think is this is gonna stop Toyota? Sooner or later, someone is gonna figure that configuration out and beat everyone with it

And after having both of those put on them, Toyota came out on top both times, at ORP and last night in California, both times with Busch.

And you'll believe the commercial, which focuses more on the wrecking then the racing, over actually watching the races? There's more to the series then what is advertised on tv. There is actually racing going on. And looking at you post, which happened to correct, I ask yet again:

What point is there to post your "Nascrap" BS in a NASCAR oriented forum?

Seriously, motorsport fans need to quit being such elitests and start respecting other forms of motorsports they don't prefer.
Is it too hard to respect both the raw driving, low technology, close racing of NASCAR, the high speed, high technology of openwheel racing and the endurance of sports car racing?
I'm sure NASCAR fans have their degrading terminology they use for openwheel etc.

Looking at this video, I find it funny how Jr gets over it yet his fans aren't able to do so and that they used to cheer for a guy who wrecked people all the time to win Whereas none of Kyle's wins came in the form of turning someone around. Pure irony.

I have 3 words for you and all the Jr. fans that are still pissed off about that:

I swear Jr. fans are some of the biggest cry babies in the world, they'll find anything to whine, bitch or complain about how their guy should be better than what his results show. IMO Jr. isn't as good as Sr. was, he was pretty much guaranteed an entrance into the sport just because of his daddy, and unfortunately he hasn't been able to put up numbers that are even comparable to Sr.'s.

No surprise that Stewart picked one of the big parts of the Hendrick brain trust to come over to Haas racing, they needed somebody to put the resources they get from HMS to good use.

Not surprising, but you still can't count out Jamie McMurray possibly taking that ride.

Ive never had any interest in the sport of NASCAR, more F1 myself, but Matt Kensiths son goes to my school. Lucky b-st-rd. His late model is sponsered by Farm and Fleet, and when I raced my uncles street stock this season I didnt have one sponser. Here's some big news: The New COT for the Nationwide series will not be introduced prior to 2009. It will however test on Monday(assuming it doesn't rain). Yet another one of the rare smart decisions NASCAR makes:tup:

Possibly some of the pit crew members, tires, floor jacks and gas cans full of racing fuel aren't exactly light and the average guy like you and me can't carry those around with great ease like they can.

Very true. Plus, their alot more things they have done with the traditional car, like racing with rain tyres, Windsheild wipers, Brake light Installation. They have a proven platform that works and only needs minor improvements, not a whole dramatic change suddenly "in the interest of "safety"


Also, both the Cup and Nationwide races have been moved to Sunday. Cup race will be at 1:00PM followed by Nationwide at 6:00 PM, both on ESPN 2

Best news for me is that Jeff Gordon made it into the Chase. I believe in second chances as well as being given new life. But to do this, he's looking at seven other people ahead of him.
