To be honest when I watch F1... I get bored rather quickly unlike in NASCAR so I guess it's all relative but I don't think F1 is crap.

I think the controversy blew that incident all out of proportion. I'm not trying to protect Jr. at all but from what I saw he was racing with him and then Busch came down low and in plain view I see Jr. locking up his brakes trying to avoid him but he clipped him. That's my .02 anyways.

Agreed, much closer tighter racing in Nascar. And of course it helps that I love american V8 muscles. ;)

Although I too think F1 is intresting.

I wonder if the cup and Busch operations will at some point in time have this happen as well. As far as I can see, Dodge is only a strong presence in the road course races in the Busch series and thats it. Thier Busch effort(other then the occasional run by DJ Kennington or the 9) severly lacks and despite the 5 wins they've had in cup, they aren't doing S***

You guys better enjoy 2009 because that'll be the last year the Traditional car will be raced. They shouldn't replace the old car AT ALL. Its a proven machine thats easily shown itself can be made safer without replacing and wasting the money on something not needed. The cup COT hasn't done S*** any different then the old car did so why fix what isn't broken?:grumpy:

The first Chase race is done and over with, Greg Biffle won at New Hampshire after a fierce battle in the closing laps with Jimmie Johnson. Solid Fro is probably smiling after Kyle Busch's 34th place finish after a broken anti-roll bar hime joint failed causing the car to be very unstable, he eventually spun out and was run into by Jamie McMurray.

Kyle's going to have to come back strong, and quickly. I think the Chase race honours could be distributed quite evenly between Kyle, Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards, and so it will be how well the drivers do in the races they don't win that will see it played out. NHMS seemed to favour a lot of drivers who've had lacklustre seasons.

As I understand it, the COT is a better handling car due to the aerodynamics; when it gets a little out of shape (loose) it can be brought back under control, unlike the old Winston car that usually required a huge accident to follow the slightest twitch. It's easy to make the old car safe once the accident has started; the COT helps prevent the accident in the first place, to a certain extent.
 
Congratulations to whomever won the first race in this year's Chase for the Cup. Since I didn't see the race or get an idea as to what happened, no debate.

Hello, haven't seen you in while. you didn't Iked, did you? As for the first winner of the cup chase, it was Greg Biffle.
 
Yeah... not being on since Friday night seems like forever, doesn't it? So my congratulations to Greg Biffle on his win.

The COT does not handle better than the old car, the COT has about half the downforce of the old car, but because of the rear wing and and the teams' skewing the car causes it to be more stable and gives it more sideforce.

Personally, I say abandon the sinking ship if you want to stay alive. As much as I like Dodge, they're going down. Ford and Chevrolet have shown as of late they are able capable of continuing. Dodge on the other hand hasn't.

Menard weighs return to DEI, move to Yates Racing

Interesting choice here. Options look fairly decent for Paul, but not so much for Allmendinger, especially since Red Bull is Favoring Scott Speed over AJ.
 
GEM will probably be the only Dodge team after the '09 season, considering how bad their situations is, I don't see Penske resigning with them or Ganassi. And it still looks as if the rumored Ganassi/MWR is still possible.
 
Kyle Busch wins the Emerson Radio 250. What a hell of a way to recover from last week's debacle.
 
Sprint Cup: Giffle wins again. Looks like hopes for Kyle busch are all but gone

Craftsman truck: Mike Skinner wins. Very close finish.

Camping World East Series: Eddie Mcdonald wins at New hampshire. Steve Park Came so close, but can only manage second on the final lap.

And what does Jayski have to say about the Nielsen ratings for the first 2 races of this years Chase compared to last year?
 
I got my power restored. I'm back for real this time. I'm watching a little of the Dover race on Speed right now though I know that Biffle won.

So far, it looks like those of you that answered Kyle Busch for "leading driver most likely to stumble" are absolutely right at this point. Anyone who thought that Greg Biffle would be the dark horse are also looking very good right now. Any picks for Race 3 at Kansas, anyone?
 
However, none of that "stumbling" was his own fault - two mechanical errors.


For race 3? I'd reckon Busch, with a new engine and an all-out, "I've already lost it" altitude..
 
Kansas... Isn't that similar to Dover, y'know, the one where the Top 3 were all Roush-Fenway?

Can't see anything but another blue oval win here, I'm hoping for Kenseth.
 
I'm watching the NSCS practice at Kansas. Can you believe it's been about 143 races since Elliot Sadler won a race? It's been 63 races since Kevin Harvick won. And for my beloved Jeff Gordon? It's been 33 races. Tony Stewart hasn't won in a while as well.

Speaking of Harvick, I tend to forget just how young he is. I think he's 23. I'm 25 as of this post. I know Kyle Busch is pretty young as well. Carl Edwards would lead the points if points had not been reset. He'd be 33 points ahead of Kyle Busch.


And the next race after Kansas? A much more interesting track than Kansas- Talladega. Sweet home Alabama!

Believe it or not buddy, he's actually 32 years old. I think you might have mistaken his age with Kyle Busch, who is 23.


And here's something impressive that I don't even think Jr pulled off. Look at the rides Kyle has been in this year:

He has had top three finishes in all of them, including wins in five of those six. And even more amazing is that he has attained a career total of 40 wins in only Five years! Jr having a career that spans eight years is still at a stagnate 18 wins total. That just has to be talent, period.


And Juan Montoya is on Pole! I may just be wrong about Ganassi in NASCAR after all.

Kyle Busch will win in everything he drives, be it Cup, Nationwide, Trucks, ARCA, Dirt, etc..

I'm looking forward to the F1 test this winter he has scheduled with the Toyota team.
 
Does it seem like my all facts are completely off in regards to Kyle Busch? I'm human after all... though I tend to think of myself as a guy who constantly enjoys typing up stuff in RTF files to be on GTPlanet and Myspace.

I must say that I respect Greg Biffle. I'll respect him a lot more if he ends up winning the title. Did you know he's from a city called Vancouver, Washington? This city isn't far away from Portland, Oregon. Don't know if it's safe to say it's a suburb of Portland if it's in another state. Then again, Trenton, New Jersey is an NYC suburb. I'd even be inclined to say he's the best NASCAR racer from the Pacific Northwest. I'm not going to say "best ever from the Pacific Northwest" because I know I'm going to screw that fact up. If Greg Biffle wins this race, what's the chances (out of 100%) that he eventually wins the 2008 championship?
