Hey PJ, I can't think of anything more exciting on ANY channel right now than this Nascar All-Star. It's nothing but crazy from the green flag. Try another thread.

Well, I was half-right. Busch won... but it was KURT Busch. Let me share with you a tweet I read on Twitter a few minutes ago. You all can weigh in on this:

"Well another bad race. We had an awesome car!!!! I hate when there's no points cause people are dumb!!!"

Thoughts? By the way, congratulations to the blue deuce on winning the NASCAR All-Star Race. We can now finally move on with races that really matter.

I guess Montoya hasn't quite grasped that there is a Million dollars on the line. People do crazy things for money. And Kyle Busch cries again over something he screwed up. Learn not to overdrive and maybe you'll actually win the race. Whoever said Kyle was mature is clearly a suckup and isn't watching the same race.

LSX
 More IROC talk. I'd love that! I even thought about it last night. 4 races, any of the major touring series, equally prepared COT's. Let 'em go for a multi-series all-star championship.

I don't think they could use COT's, it would be incredibly unfair to the drivers who don't already have a ride in cup.

How about fiberglass bodied ponycars like it used to be. Or even go back to Porsche RSRs.

I say use the old cup cars, something that everyone is familiar with, not just cup drivers.

You must not have been watching the same race. There was plenty of room at the top of the track. In fact people had been running the high line all day as well as people running the low line. So when Kyle Busch goes to the high line and Denny looks like he's going to run the low, like he has been all day, he all of a sudden comes up to the high line forcing KB too high and into the wall, it's KB's fault? He's a cry-baby? So when you know that there was plenty of room, but your teammate comes up top for no reason and forces you into the wall, you're going to say, 'it's ok'? Get f--king real! You'd cry your eyes out at the chance you just had blown by a teammate to win 1million bucks.

I guess people aren't supposed to be passionate about what they do? I don't see anything wrong with what Kyle did. In fact Jeff Gordon has done and said the same thing about Jimmie Johnson. Is he a cry-baby? People are biased and hate people with talent. KB has a lot of that. Talent and haters. This was his race. He and Denny knew it. That's why deny cut him off.

Good run for the 2 and 12 cars. BK passed 10 cars between the last two restarts and was coming to the front but ran out of time. I hope they have a good race next week and I can't wait until BK gets in the blue deuce with Steve.

The same one that Kurt Busch won even after having a car that bounced off the wall? Yes, I was watching it.

In case you haven't noticed, that was two different situations. Jeff's problem happened at a race where points were involved and it was in a situation he couldn't get out of whereas Kyle had it happen at race where there is no points and he could have easily backed out of it to prevent that from happening. Just as you said, its 1 Million Bucks but there is no such thing as teammates when there is no points involved and only that check and for him to expect his teammate to give him room is foolish, especially because it was the final few laps. I'm not being biast with Kyle as you appear to think I am, I think he is full of it if he actually thought his teammate was gonna let 1 Million dollars just slip by like that, Kyle simply overdrove it plain and simple. Sure Hamlin suddenly came up, but he could have easily backed off and waited for another chance to get by. He had a much better car then Hamlin and had plenty of time to get up there. If it was only 2 laps, then I would understand the urgentcy but it was 10 laps and he still had 9 more to get it done.

In my eyes, Montoya's crash was his fault. Or his spotters. Definitely not the fault of the other guy.

Kyle knew what he was doing. Denny didn't "suddenly" come up. Kyle saw what was happening and he had to make a quick decision. He chose to stay in it and move higher and found the wall. Sometimes racers are afraid to check up and then want to point the finger. With so much at stake, they should have discussed how they would race ahead of time. I like to run with teammates so we get separation from the other racers and then race it out amongst ourselves.

I'm suprised no one has mentioned this, but Red Bull has called upon DTM Champion Mattias Ekstrom to step in the 83 car for the Road Course Races. he tested in the 83 earlier in the week at VIR.

Also if you guys don't mind, please join my series here. I'd like to actually had a nice size field.

The Coca-Cola 600 is coming up! The little weather forecast calls for a Partly Cloudy day, a possible thunderstorm mid-race, and then mostly cloudy for the final part. I don't have a favorite for tonight's race. But, good luck to all the teams and all the drivers!

A couple notables from the race, David Reutimann came home 5th and Paul Menard came in 8th, great runs for both teams.

Also, anyone else love Kyle's face after the race when Jeff was going off on him?

^^^ yeah.

Good call for Martin there at the end to say out and bring it home 4th. I'm also a silent fan of the #78 car as they are based out of Denver, CO. A 19th for them is a fairly decent run. 👍

I also like the 78 car. It's pretty great to see what they can do out of their small shop way the hell out there. Also Regan is from NY. 👍

I think they'd gladly let you tour the shop. A small team like that I think would be over joyed with your interest/support.

Up next is one track I'd like to call one of the fastest road courses- Pocono. NASCAR on FOX is done for 2010. Now it's basically going to be TNT and ESPN/ABC calling down the races. Suffice to say, I love FOX's coverage of NASCAR. The NASCAR on FOX crew just bring a certain character to NASCAR coverage that just gets lost on any other network.

Anyhow, Pocono is one unique place. I call it as one of the world's fastest road courses because you have to ride this bad boy like a road course. Or in the minds of a lot of NASCAR fans, the most boring track on the schedule. Many others (myself included) think we need tracks like Pocono because it's not another cookie-cutter oval.

Best of luck to all of the teams and drivers at Pocono this weekend!

Don't remind me.:yuck:

Now we have to deal with TNT's "Commercial and Chat Series" as I call it since the only times they aren't talking is when there is a commercial(which is rather often).

Pocono is easily in my top 5 favorite tracks, where else is there a chance a deer will jump on the race track.

I kinda look forward to Fox's coverage ending, since I can't really stand Mr Waltrip and his stupid "Boogity" crap. My dad always mutes the beginning of the race.

Well, there is Road America :sly:

Nascar needs a small triangle track. Like Nazareth Speedway, but maybe with a little more banking. Or differing degree of banking for each turn.

To my absolute surprise... NASCAR Nationwide debuts at Road America... TODAY (at the bottom of the hour as of this post)! Nationwide at Road America and Cup at Sears Point (Infineon). You're going to love this weekend if you love NASCAR and road racing.

Best of luck to all the NASCAR racers road racing this weekend!
