Find out if you can turn on uPnP in your router.

Oh, and try to setup a wired connection if it's possible.

edit:

It's possible in your router. It's on the WAN settings page.

After you set all the settings, did you turned off the power of the router? If not, try that.

It doesn't seem that anything is wrong with the settings.

Edit, is the upnp enabled on your PS3?

Hmm, strange...

You have tried to put the PS3 into the DMZ, right? That solved all of my problems.

Btw, I know that the Speedtouch Modem/routers used here in the Netherlands where absolute crap, I bought a Linksys modem/router for a buddy of mine, because we had the same problems to get his PS3 to nat2.

You should contact your isp, and ask them, most DSL isp's let you use a modem/router which you bought yourself, and if they do, they can give you the settings, it's quite easy to set it up..

I just can't think of anything else than the screwed up Speedtouch modem.

Because you are using a separate Modem and Router, you need to set them both up for net play.

You need to give your Router 'MSI RG54SE II' a Static IP on the WAN Port.
You need to put that Static IP of the Router into the DMZ of the Speedtouch Modem.

From there, you have everything else setup correctly. The problem is 99% of tutorials only explain themselves for a single Modem/Router with 1 firewall. When you have 2 separate devices, you have 2 firewalls. One in your Modem, which your Router has to get past. Then One in your Router which your devices (such as the PS3) has to get past.

I dont have DMZ option on my modem ....

Use Port Forwarding instead. You have to give your Routers 'WAN' port a Static IP. Then Port Forward all the ports (or at least the ports required for PS3 Net Play) from your modem to your Routers static IP.

This nails the problem, but not necessarily the solution. Having firewalls in both the modem and router is causing your problems. I had the same problem when I set mine up and after trying everything (DMZ, port forwarding, upnp, etc.). I finally got some good info and put my modem into bridged mode. Bridging your modem will disable any firewall or other traffic handling abilities of the modem and allows your router to control things the way it should. Contact your ISP and ask them how to bridge your modem.

THIS SOLVED IT FOR ME.:dunce: can't give u credit though cause i managed to solve it before i saw your post. :)

I just bridged my modem (no need to contact ISP) and let the router handle all the stuff, put ppoe setting in router and forwarded ports same as before and now i have NAT 2 .

TY all for helping!!!

Awww, come on, give me a little credit :sly: Glad you got it working, I had tried everything until I bridged my modem and it was all great after that. 👍
