NaughtyDog's PS4 game teased? UNCHARTED 4?

Uhhh. Uncharted 3 was a horrible mess that deserved to be burned. Really hope they are done with the franchise. U1 and 2 were great, so just leave it. Get working on some more The Last of Us instead!

Eh ?, I thought the sp was fantastic !, can't speak much for multiplayer but that plane scene in the singleplayer, amazing !. Yes there were story issues but I honestly think you are being very harsh.

I think ND are very capable of making another good Uncharted game, not that I wouldn't mind a new IP of course, I would actually prefer that to a TLOU sequel which isn't needed (although inevitably will happen because the game is selling like crazy)

I don't know. I just hated close to every second of Uncharted 3. The gameplay was old, and all the escape scenes were extremely dumb. Like, why are there bad guys inside a burning house that they themselves put on fire? Would it not be wiser to get out? Perhaps cover all the exits? Plane scene didn't make any sense to me either. Sound design was bad, characters were awful, and the story... I won't even go there.

Only part of the game I enjoyed was when the ocean liner sank. Water looked amazing!
 
Yes, Uncharted doesn't make sense at times but it makes for a damn good time playing it imo. OK, so Marlowe was a relatively weak antagonist, there were a bunch of untied loose ends to the story, some guns sounded a little weird (if you care about that sort of thing) and the game took a little while to really get going but I immensely enjoyed it nonetheless.

In terms of the action sequences, that's one part of U3 that was immensely praised by many, that doesn't mean everyone of course but I just don't know how you could hate a game as action-packed as U3. I guess it is your opinion but I couldn't help it :) .

Wha? It's a game. Kind of like a film. Everything has questionable things in it. Could pick apart every movie and game ever with that kind of logic.
 
Plus the burning chateau is easily explained, they stayed and tried to kill Drake because they couldn't see an easy way out and they might as well go down fighting.

The only thing I didn't like in U3 were the inhuman enemy things near the end when he's hallucinating.

Ho ho, I like it! Maybe he needs to get to the heart of it and try to stop this spreading. A nest of clickers and a psychotic warlord wanting to exploit what Drake ahd inadvertantly let out into the world...sounds good to me :)

Samus, be thankful those creatures at the end of U3 weren't full Djiin - no stopping one of those.
 
I remember annoying creatures in the first game as well. I really don't know why they had to do that in a 'serious' game.

Anyway I really hope if there is a fourth game it doesn't cross with TLOU at all. I know they had that easter egg but hopefully it was just that, an easter egg that doesn't actually mean they're part of the same universe.
 
My prediction for the next UNCHARTED game:

Discover Nathan Drake's past since he doesn't know about his parents whereabouts and know why he used 'Drake' as his last name.

Plus, know more about Sir Francis Drake's 16th Century past against the Spanish Armada, since Nathan Drake proclaims himself as the descendant of Sir Francis Drake but that's not true at all...

Maybe this time head to America and start looking for his lost relics of the past and know more about his relationship with Elena, wherever they're married or not.
 
I love the series as a whole, #2 was my favourite though, it had the best story line, levels, characters and multiplier in my opinion, and it was actually pretty challenging. Uncharted 3 was good but it only took me two days to beat it.. I hope they make a 4th, I really do, it's to epic of a series to just let die.

But Naughty dog is done with this game, now they focus on Last Of US. So expect LOU 2 and 3, not Uncharted 4, maybe by different dev studio.

If they do go for something new I hope it's totally new. I'm not claiming that The Last Of Us is just Uncharted with a new skin because clearly it isn't but you can't deny many elements are extremely similar.

I don't really know what I'd like to see but something totally different, in the same way after Crash and Jak which were again slightly similar, Uncharted was totally fresh.

I read on the internet something of naughty dog.
It seems like they put release dates and other hints of new games in their games. There was already a realease date found (a calendar and a boarder with the same date), but now I discovered something new. In a school and then a hallway with lockers, I found a sticker with text; "viking temple" which is in my opinion a hint to a next Uncharted game about a viking temple. And I also found a locker with 2 stickers on it, hearts in form of the naughty dog logo and a cat with sunglasses, this may be a hint that naughty dog will cooperate with an other gameproducer (which one I don't know).

The general look and feel is similar, that's all I meant. You could quite easily drop characters in and out of either game and not look out of place. Same for Crash and Jak although you couldn't say the same for Jak/Uncharted. I'd just like something totally different that isn't a third person adventure game.

Naughty Dog was split into two teams so they can work on TLOU2 and U4/new IP at the same time.
 
I found an evacuation board in LOU that said 13/10/13 so that may hint at something.

S'ok I didn't mean that in a "why are you posting it again" way, more a "he's already ignored that once, he'll probably do it again" sort of way.

Nope, I guarantee you that another Uncharted game is on the way for PS4, I would bet good money on it. They have two teams, the one that just made TLOU may be considering the prospect of a sequel but their other one will be working on most likely another Uncharted or even a new ip. Uncharted is in no way "quite dead" imo.

I think that's just the general timeline of the outbreak. You'll see calendars with October 2013 as the last month anyone has displayed. Also in the hotel, there was a Prom 2013 banner, so I think the outbreak in the cities hit during the summer but towns such as Lincoln (Bill's town) full evacuation happened later, hence the October date.
 
If they're going to make a new Uncharted they better make it a good one. I didn't dislike U3, but it was definitely a step backwards in many aspects.

Still, Uncharted games have proven to be fun and great to play be it casually or more seriously.

I don't think they'd 'waste' a new Uncharted game on just the Vita as not everyone has or needs one.

I know they're bundling both consoles at the moment for the PS4 release but the Uncharted games are pretty big and the Golden Abyss was a smaller game I thought.

It might be for both, though it's more likely it'd be just the PS4.
 
So no announcement yet from NaughtyDog regarding their Next-Gen PS4 block-buster title.

Maybe the end of this year?
