Apparently there's some serious rumors that Kevin Durant is going to end up in Detroit and that's like a peak Detroit sports team move. Nobody gets aging superstars like Detroit sports teams.
Okay tonight we have the critical game of the finals Games 5. The series is tied at 2-2 and it returns to OKC where Indiana won game 1. I believe whoever wins game has a huge advantage. In other NBA news Memphis traded Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope & Cole Anthony plus 4!!! 1st rd picks. While it makes sense for the Magic to get Bane who is one of the better pure shooters n the league and given his defense & play making a good fit for them it seems like a lot to give up. For Memphis it gives the opportunity to retool around Ja Morant & Jaren Jackson Jr. JJJ is up for an extension so they may still trade and build around Ja. What this trade tells me that teams that believe themselves to be playoff contenders don't value 1st rd picks that are later in the draft.

The Phoenix Suns are trading two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft and five second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.
KD to Houston has some big time @JohnBM01 vibes to it.
Congrats to OKC for an incredible run. Hate to see Hali go down like that. We're not gonna see him for at least a year, maybe two, and the Pacers may have to blow up and go into rebuilding because of it. Praying it's not a career-ender.
Fair play to the Pelicans for being aggressive and going after the players they want. Just not sure with their current roster that trading away your first round pick for next year is the wisest of moves. And it being unprotected as well. 😅
I can't believe the Jazz picked Ace Bailey; he has no desire to be there. I thought for sure they'd get Egor Demin, especially since Ryan Smith (owner), Danny Ainge (CEO), and Austin Ainge (President) are all BYU alums.
