This is John here, and allow me to quickly run down the results of games this weekend. As you may notice in the title, this has been more known as "Judgment Saturday." And with some of the game results, I just came home from a Greek festival here in Houston. While it was a wonderful show, I'll quickly run down some of the game results. And if I can obtain scores, they will be in brackets. Of course, there are MANY games around the country, so kind of look for the one who want to find. After my Result posts, I'll try something new. I'll try to identify big upsets, big wins, depressing losses, and for fun... I'll come up with my "OWN of the week." With that said, read on, college football fans.

DIVISION I-A

* "Smokin' the Dawgs" Tennessee took own Goergia at Athens, GA, USA. While Neyland Stadium is hostile territory, so was the scene in Athens. Tennessee had to win this game if they want to get redemption from losing to the Auburn Tigers. Georgia had one last chance to score a touchdown to win, Georgia fails, Tennessee Wins. Tennessee will go to Ole Miss next, then Georgia faces Vanderbilt.
* "You Got Shut-OUt!" (BIG RIVALRY) Texas and Oklahoma in Dallas. It's time again for the "Red River Shootout." The game was mostly all-defense while Texas remained scoreless and eventually lost to Oklahoma. Since I'm a native Texan, you did good, Texas."
* "Tigers Cruise" The Auburn Tigers beat the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs [52-7].
* "Little Brown Jug Rivalry" Michigan takes down the Minnesota Golden Gophers and maintain possession of the Little Brown Jug.
* "Come and Ride the Purdue Train" The Purdue train ride stopped at Penn State as the Nittany Lions were defeated.
* "More Than Just Basketball" North Carolina upset the #25-ranked school in the nation, North Carolina State.
* "Some Assembly Required" Welcome to the Big Ten, GTPlanet. Wisconsin took on Ohio State and delivered by taking down the already-taken down THE Ohio State Buckeyes. OSU came off of being upset against Northwestern, they then lose to
* "Branding the Buffs" Oklahoma State took on Colorado at Colorado's beautiful stadium. And to complement the lovely stadium, there were sunny, blue skies. But the beauty got ugly as Oklahoma State's Cowboys tamed the Colorado Buffaloes.
* "Yellow Jacket Swarm" Atlanta's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets took on the Maryland Terrapins. The Maryland Terrapins failed to defeat the Yellow Jackets.
* "This is For Last Season!" USC is the #1 team in America, and they met the only team who defeated USC last season- the California Golden Bears. USC took them out and got the revenge they were looking for.
* "Red Raided" The Nebraska Cornhuskers got a foul taste in their mouths as they were OWNED by Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX, USA.
* "Shaken, Not Stirred" Florida State took down Syracuse [17-14]. FSU had some rather sloppy game play, but still managed to win over Syracuse.
* "Crimson Tidal Wade" Alabama's Crimson Tide rolled over and washed out the Kentucky Wildcats.
* "Losers No More" Army wins a game over the Cincinatti Bearcats after going completely winless last season, even losing to their biggest rival (who's having a great season), Navy.
* "So Close, Yet So Far" The University of Houston Cougars took on Southern Miss in overtime, and could have won the game. But home field advantage for Southern Miss beat Houston.
* "Miracle Shot" Prayers were advantage for #24 LSU as they knocked #12 Florida at "The Swamp" in Gainesville, FL, USA.
* "Rebellious Comeback" UNLV was on a sort of a losing streak, but beat down the BYU (Brigham Young University) Cougars.
* "Return of the Huskies" Washington takes down the San Diego State Aztecs (right?) and finally gets back into a winning state.

These are only a few games of the many this weekend. If you want information on Division 1-AA and lower games, read the next reply.

EXTRA COMMENTARY

Based on highlights, here is my commentary. Here are my picks for...
(1.) Upset of the week: The North Carolina Tar Heels took on their in-state rivals North Carolina State. NC State is ranked, NC is not.

(2.) Shocker of the week: I think LSU's touchdown that silenced the crowd in Gainesville was surely a silencer. In fact, I was in a "I can't believe it" state of mind.

(3.) Depressing loss of the week: I'd have to say the Ohio State Buckeyes because I think they're a great team, but right now, they're on the ropes. And I think Ohio State can bounce back as best as possible.

(4.) "YOU GOT OWN3D" of the week: Texas Tech over Nebraska [70-10]. Of course, this is all in good fun, so don't think I'm knocking any teams.

The next week of action, I'll try to come up with results from next weekend's games. See you then!
