I just ordered a Driving Force GT. I want a portable table to mount the wheel on, one I can move back and forth for ease of transfer. I am aware of the Driving Force Pro stand but I need something a little more affordable.
Will any old portable table from the shop work (e.g. TV tray) or do I need a specific stand? Are there any small heavy-duty tables that can support the wheel's weight? I'm only getting a table for the wheel itself. Any answers/tips would be much appreciated, forgive me if I phrased anything wrong, feel free to ask any questions.

I used a $20 coffee table for majority of my time with my DFGT, it got the job done but nothing beats a wheel stand.
If you do plan to buy a coffee table or some sorts, make sure it is wide enough and not too thin/thick.
Also, the smaller they are, the more the wheel and table will move when you move it.
Lastly, make sure the pedals can fit in a place where it will feel comfortable to you.

I do the exact same as Brutaka but I do have a few issues with my wheel not being high enough so sometimes my knees get in the way but besides that it does the job and I can still post some decent lap times without any issues, but as stated above nothing beats a proper wheel stand it's just that they're a bit pricey.

Also, there are DIY wheelstand videos on YouTube if you don't mind making one.
