Hello all, this is my first post, so forgive me for any faux pas. If this isn’t the right subforum please move this to the right place.

I love this game because the incredible amount of cars. I am nearly finished with collecting all cars as stock (repaired everything if used car). I want to start with the ultimate time attack on Trial Mountains with all cars. I will race with each car at least 5 laps till I have two times that are <0.3 seconds from each other with a maximum of 10 laps for each car (if average speed >50 km/hour). If the speed is lower than 50 km/ hour I will maximum race 15 minutes.

My goal is to get a time with all cars, with driving aids off, only ABS 1.

The only thing I’m uncertain of is the tires. Should I keep the default tires, or should I put another set of tires on each car?

If people are interested I can update the results (on daily basis) or give an detailed update with the times, including my review of the car. I’m not the best driver, but that makes it maybe even more interesting to see which cars are easy to handle and which cars are hard to handle.

Welcome. Just so you know there is over 1000 cars in the game and 5 laps a car with each one is gonna be months to do. Might get a little repetitive.

Are you planning on doing this with stock cars? If it's gonna be all stock you mine as well stick with whatever tires are on the car. If they are upgraded than I think sports soft are a good choice. They will be a little better than needed for low hp cars but a little worse for high hp cars. That makes it fairly even overall. Good luck with your racing.

I know it will be repetitive, but i'm the kind of person that realy enjoys "grinding" the same thing and see how things compare to each other. I plan to play a few hours every day till GT 6 comes out.

The reason i think same tires are fair is to compare the times more objective.

Welcome to GTPlanet!

Sounds like you have some racing ahead of yourself:tup:

I would recommend using the same tire for all the non-race cars (either SH or SM, I think that sport soft tires are probably too good and would mask some of the differences between the cars), and use RH (race hard) tires for all the race cars.

Also, for comparative purposes, I recommend that you list the HP/WGT/PP values for each car as you go.

Good luck!
