I'll probably keep playing the Dragon Trail TT some more as I feel I can improve there further. Laguna Seca TT which I'll try only next week as a VGT car around Laguna will make the track feel even more narrower & prone to frustration.

And a famous Play Station game too? lol.

But seriously, I'll pass on this TT. See y'all in the next road car TT 🤟

:gtpflag:
There is a good chance i'll only put efford in the EMS that starts tomorrow.... i have Mclaren VGT Suzuka vibes when i see this 2000 HP ..thing..., i still regret taking part in that.... i'm to old for that speed 😂 😂

I'll try the new TT offline just to see where I would end up...
But I'll not add another bronze to my list so:

Yo yo racers, hope all is well!

I've been distracted with life stuff and other games (testing the new Battlefield game in alpha and beta has been a highlight), so my TT time has been limited, which is lucky, as the recent TTs for me have been pretty pants.

Willow in the Silvia was dreadful largely due to the exploits, I wanted to love the RX7 at Nurb' but man those track limits and hefty bumps rendered many a god lap useless (love the car though) and the Audi R8 TT is ok but kinda too easy (got gold in 3 laps and without watching any guides) and then this Corvette thing turns up on Laguna Seca and feels more akin to Ridge Racer than GT but hey ho, I'll keep trying for Golds but my desire to hammer these is notably vacant, fingers crossed for the next TT

(I'm probably been unfair to the R8 one, it's not bad, just kinda meh)

My optimum at Nurburgring showed how those kerbs and track limits killed my final time

A VGT in a TT is probably the worst thing that we could endure. Hate all the VGTs except got Daihatsu's Copen RJ VGT car.

Good thing that the Dragon Trail TT is still active & loads of fun even though making progress there is getting harder as per my skill set.

I did about 50 km with the VGT... I'm in bronze... 2 seconds away from silver...🤔😥

I don't see how I can win... and it's only the first day, so in fact, I'm at least 3 seconds away...😂😂😂
It's too fast for my old brain...

My plan was to do lots of laps to drain the battery and make it easier to control... but...
I didn't manage to do more than 3...😂😂

I also tried the automatic gearbox... it's no better........ so: next...😜

We'll see tomorrow what the NSX has in store for us at Lago M...🤔

🤣 I tried a few laps on the remote setup...it's absolutely ridiculous, and a complete fail combo for me, this has nothing to do with what I like to see in GT7, I want to delicate place the car on the curbs, balance a car between under and oversteer..

This is just holding your breath until the next apex turnes up and then come to the conclusion you already missed it because you are at mach 3...
The torque steering is hideous...

Ill give it another go in the morning maby.....if I'm feeling like it.....doubt it 🤣🤣

Thanks, glad to know it's not me that suck, it's the controller.
Don’t sweat it, with a wheel and VR it’s not easy at all either. Maybe a fraction easier to dial in but personally I find it a god awful car that sacrifices the best things about being a car for more POWER MORE DOWN FORCE!

Just another car that would suit wipeout HD better.

That all said and moaned about, the R8 is a good training guide for it, early braking, lots of patience and good gear selection.

The vette isn’t for me in the game or for TT so just gonna pretend I’m still on holiday and leave that one alone

I just don't have the reflexes for this. These hyper cars on a G29 are next to impossible to find any accuracy while cornering. The dead space in the wheel when its neutral is killing me.

As for the combo, I can appreciate the fineness that goes into throttle control but damn, it's far too quick for me.

It's over for me too...

Another attempt tonight, but still 6/10ths of a point away from the silver medal... for now (although it shouldn't drop much further)...

For me, it's the sausages that bother me... Either I'm too far away, or I touch them...
The one on the last bend costs me an arm and a leg... between the exit of the last bend and the line, the ghost puts me from 5/10 to 1 second...
I manage it once in five attempts... and even then...

Ran out of time to do a final run for this. Definitely had quite a bit more time to find.
Not sure who is making these combo's? Why is this quite obviously a road car getting put on Racing mediums? Not sports mediums, not racing softs, racing mediums? At this point I think someone accidentally selected the wrong tyres, trying to select sports mediums, but no one could be bothered to fix it and now here we are, bouncing off kerbs like a pogo stick.

I think it's pretty well known that if you're going to put super sticky tyres on a road car, you need to firm up the suspension so that it doesn't become a wobbly, unnatural mess. Maybe the people creating the time trials need to be reminded of this.

Next on my list of complaints, what is going on with the gear ratios and power band in this thing? Why is 5th gear longer than the distance to the moon? Why in a rotary powered car, a motor known for its lack of torque and high revving nature, are we short shifting? I certainly hope the real RE Amemiya is not tuned like this.

Also wasn't using countersteer assist. I refuse to use these kinds of imaginary assists unless I absolutely need them to get into gold. Somehow CSA is improving how the car bounces off the kerb on the entry to the Schumacher S, since I wasn't using CSA, I had to contend with the car trampolining off that kerb every lap. Guess that's just another one of the magical superpowers of CSA.

Pretty disappointing combo this one, which is a shame because if it didn't have all these weird quirks, it would probably have been pretty fun.

Sounds like the Corvette CX.R is a nightmare on controller, so I think that's going to be a one and done trial.
Hopefully the R8 is more fun.

Yeah did a handful and I'm 2 seconds behind the Bronze cut-off.
You all "enjoy" this one and I'll wait for next weeks!
