Try John Mayer's live album from Los Angeles - "Where The Light Is". Good mix of slow and upbeat songs, all with a nice steady tempo to them.

lol one of my favourites i have the bluray :)

trouble is i've heard it to death - the same problem im now having with adele. i tend to listen to something over and over again if its good and with adele it was on gt5 so i heard it all the time in menus for ages lol

Saw it mentioned on the first page, I recommend Portishead - "Dummy". It's a deep, moody album delicately balanced with Beth Gibbons' angelic overtones.

good idea i used to have that but havent heard it in ages. the only thing is the songs mostly dont kick off until about 30 seconds in at least and in the menus you rarely hear that much of it

I bought those Native American healing music cds and I use it as my menu soundtrack. its so refreshing to hear them after those heavy metal race music

I have a whole boatload of Video Game instrumentals (metal gear solid 1-4, Super Street Fighter 4 AE, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, etc...)

I usuually split the tracks in two.... racing music and menu music. Racing music can be upbeat, tempo, rapid, etc..... Menu Music is mostly laid back and loungy.....
