need desperate help on gpl

ok, i thoguht i'd better post here, because the gpl forum rarely gets used, so please do not move this

i need help on a few things on gpl. my problems are:

1. changing coventry and murasama to cooper and honda
2. installing new cars
3. making the car handle better
4. finding a cheap pc steering wheel

any help would be greatly recived, especially for problems 1 and 2. thank you.

1. Get the GPL2004 demo at bhmotorsport.com and then copy the other 10 original circuits to the "demo" directory (you'll also get the very latest addons, sound, graphical, etc)
2. There no "new" cars for GPL (except the mod65 cars) because noone has modded the game (again, except the mod65 crew). However, it's possible to download some new f1 carsets. Mind you, most are very difficult to install.
3. GPL doesn't have any cheaps (that's why it's no GT :D ). You could, however, try to find setups from Gregger Huttu (incidentally, you should be looking for GH_* setups and not GH2_* :D ).
4. Logitech Red FF Wheel

Well, if I were you, I'd make number 4 your highest priority. I'm assuming you currently have no wheel and are using a keyboard. Trust me, GPL is impossible to play on a keyboard. A steering wheel and pedal combo is required hardware for this game. And even then, the game is still ridiculously hard.

I agree 100 % with the 2 previous posters:

1) Get yourself a wheel , my Playstation2 Logitech driving force ( with the appropriate driver ) works great with all my PC racing sims ( GPL, RBR, F1C ).
Of course if you can afford the Pro model ( and have a Playstation2 of course ) go for it.

2) Download the GPL 2004 demo ( it's even better than the original ) .

3) Practice, practice and practice.
