Wow! Just wow!
What can I say about this game or better yet, this demo!?

There are 4 cars, but 2 really. The BMW M3 GTR and Mazda RX-8, but each with 2 different paint jobs.

There are 3 runs for you to complete.
A Time Attack, a Sprint Race, and a 1 on 1 Drag.

Drag is basically the same as before, but its not a straight line this time. The course is a twist and turn leading into a straight.
Time Attack is simple and Sprint requires some fast driving.

NOW, the cops. The cops are smarter than any other cops in the NFS series. These guys will do all, and as you progress through the 3 trials, you see.

A new feature is such. If you win a race, you are given a certain amount of time to RUN! And you must not be busted within the time limit. And the last trial win is a pain. Basically, the more you run, the harder that backup squad becomes.

It basically goes from general cop to highway patrol to solid undercover cop cars. If you last a 3 trials, the ending movie shows the BIG BAD cop car. What is it?

I'll let you find that out. ;)

All in all, I want to see more, explore more of this game. Its awesome. Its nothing like NFS:U2. Its like an entire game. I say screw the rice, the sense of speed and sound and all in all everything is terrific!

NFS fans, come back and give this game a try. EA definately took back some of the old roots of the NFS Tree.

Demo: 9.5/10.
Basically, the general cops and that could have been a bit harder, but the ending ones were great.

wow. i didnt even know the demo was out, lol. :D i've been too busy racing gtr cars in lfs but i'll check it out now.

:edit: seems like its only out for consols.... :edit:

Isn't the big bad cop car a Corvette C6R? Its in the videos at the NFS website anyways.

Worst controls ever... The physics are terrible, and seem to have a slight delay... The graphics are better than the other games, and now there is daytime racing... Still, this game won't bring any new fans to the series, in my opinion...

;)

Hmm, i've never really been a need for speed fan, more GT4 and TocA. What does it have to offer though, apart from the fact you can mod cars. It sounds like fun...but does the gameplay compliment it?

well in the 1st and second games... the only real motivation to continue is modding your car. and they force you to rice out at least 1 car to continue on in the game...Also just completing the game for the sake of competing. Challenging other racers in the exploration mode in nfsu2 was pretty fun.... but it gets old after a few days. I never completed NFSU2 because it just got boring.
