Volkswagen (2)
???? Volkswagen Beetle
2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport

The year of the Volkswagen Beetle in the game is 1963. You can tell because of its one year only engine cover lid, smaller window glass and no wolfsburg emblem on the front as seen in 1962 models.

Uhm... where's the Aston Martin Vanquish S?

Uhm... where's the Aston Martin Vanquish S?

Having a car advertised on a billboard doesn't mean it will appear as a playable vehicle in game. We can't completely rule out the Vanquish S making an appearance later down the line as DLC though.

Oh ok. It's not in the game to begin with, understood.

You missed the Lotus Exige S, the McLaren 570 S, and Plymouth Barracuda on the typed out list. Just letting you know.

I'm not disappointed with Ferrari's absence. If they aren't going to let you customize their cars, then what's the point in a game like this?

I hope the Vanquish is eventually available. I'd like to have 3 Aston Martins and all 4 Lamborghini cars in my garage.

I'm a little disappointed that so many cars cannot be used as runners, but I'm sure I'll be happy with the '69 Dodge Charger or some other tank of a vehicle.

It's nice to see that NFS still kept Porsche despite their contract ending.

The lack of Ferrari and Toyota are off-putting. Especially the later. A modern racing game without a GT 86 in its roster just doesn't feel complete. Although I guess the BRZ kind of fits that role I suppose.

And the lack of Celica and Supra causes a bit of imbalance in the car list as they were competitors to the Silvia and Skyline. The lack of R33 GT-R, while keeping the R32, R34 and R35 annoys me. The R33 is not only my favourite of them, but also with the lack of that model makes the GT-R lineup incomplete.

Funny, people will praise this game for having 74 cars, but at the same time call GT Sport 'garbage' for having 160...
Because GT Sport only has 38 cars that are production vehicles? At least here with this NFS, everything, with the except of the Beck Kustoms Ford, is a production vehicle. And they are ones that a majority people actually like too.

Plus, 74 is a lot of cars when it comes to an NFS game.

So by your logic, Project CARS and Assetto is also "garbage"?

GT has made it´s reputation by car collecting as an essential part of game formula, also they drop from 1200 cars to 160 (with 4 years of development). NFS in other hand never had so many cars, also the customization is the focus in many of their games.

Finally I dont see many people here praising the number of cars or being extremely happy by the carlist.

The R33 sits out again.. :(

Also no 1st generation NSX? Strange how they include the new one but not the old one.

It's there, listed as a Honda, just like it was in the previous game. This has been brought up multiple times. It's easy to miss since it would've been an Acura in the States.

oh I didn't see it. I only saw the 2 civics and the S2000.

I'm really curious as to why Ghost decided to go for a Grand Sport Corvette (in Collector's Edition getup no less) and not a C7 Z06. Also, why not include a '17 ZL1..

^^^ I wondered that too. An even bigger question I have is why they are still going with the previous generation Camaro instead of the full body refresh. It's been out since the previous game.

Don't pretend that you don't remember how much people lamented "standard" cars. Or the cars that were almost precisely the same except for the model year. Like I'm OK with the various variants of the R34 - the aftermarket-tuned ones, the ones by Nismo, and the race-spec ones - but some of the NSXes and R34s were exactly the same except for the model year. Or only differed by region, like an EU edition 350Z, or had convertible versions despite not being able to drop the top anyway.

We also know GTS is going to add more cars over time, including family cars and older models. Personally, I'm hoping they'll all be able to race in a class, or perhaps even a new class which can be made so they won't be over/under-powered compared to the currently-existing classes.

So I won't be able to play with the March update until at least tomorrow night, but in the meantime, I'm curious to know how you guys plan on using the Trans Am and DB5? I just watched a video showing an off-road Trans Am superbuild and it looks completely mental!
