Need help for Xbox 360!

Hello gtp, I really need help!

My 360, when you put a disc into the drive, it makes a grinding sound, and scratches the disc VERY badly! I'm not sure what to do, It just almost destroyed my Madden and my Carbon!

Please help! :scared:
 
Well, for a start, stop putting disks in it! It's blatently broken, so take it back if it's under warranty or go get it fixed somewhere. Whatever you do, don't go opening it up if you can still get Microsoft to deal with it.
 
The only suggestion I have is to get the console replaced under warranty, or replaced by some service you may have received from whatever store you bought it from. DO NOT put any more games in it, as you more than likely not going to get a replacement game unless it's published by Microsoft themselves: PGR3, etc (unless they've changed this now?)

I don't know any other good repair place, otherwise.

I put it here because I'm ASKING gtp for help or advice. :grumpy:

I'm gonna call MS, see what they tell me to do, wether I can take it to Best Buy, or have to send it back. :(

And you'd be better off asking in the X360 forum because there'd probably be more people able to give advice.

Nonetheless, when did you buy your 360? Depending how long it has been, you may be able to return it to Best Buy, but I'm not exactly sure. I'd call them up and if you can't exchange it, call MS and they should send you a prepaid box to send your 360 to them. And depending how close (or far) the repair center is, it may take a good amount of time for you to get it back.

This is a very common problem with this console. Look here to see why it happens, and how easily these problems could have been avoided:

It destroyed 3-Oblivion game disks for me, and I never moved the console while it was running. The Best Buy Product Replacement Plan was worth every cent in my case.
 
Yeah, I called the support, I'll be getting a box in 3-4 business days.... so that'll be like a week .
