I don't expect to get ANY replies to this cause it is just a weird request.

I need to find the Japanese symbols for "love" "pain" "hate" "hurt" "broken" and "dead".

Yes, they are for a tattoo. But not for me. I am going friday to get one (NOT a Japanese one), and the friend who is coming with me wants to get one of these on himself. :rolleyes:

I have been searching the net, but am not having much luck. If any of you know where I might be able to locate these, or even know how to write them yourself please let me know.

I found it one day about five years ago. Me and my friend were always looking for new ways to confuse the hell out of people on AOL chatrooms.

You wouldn't believe how many people don't know Japanese.

Sorry sn00p. those are chinese characters.

and even still, those chinese characters are wrong in chinese.. *some of them*
 
He has his heart set on it.
His mother just passed away and this is what he wants to do to remember her or something. :odd:
His B-day is on Wednesday and i want to have it all set up and planned for him so he just walks in and walks out of the tattoo shop.
 
Don't you have a tattoo to remember your sister by? I remember seeing it somewhere, I remember liking it too.
 
Yeah. It is ok.

I drew and designed it in 5 mins. Sometimes I do not like the look of it. Other times I like the broken line design.

Anyway, I am stuck with it.

But I am still happy I got it no matter what.

It is very simple, which is exactly what I wanted.

Japanese Kanji ARE Chinese characters - their meanings are the same, although their readings may be different.

Rumple - the three symbols you posted are Japanese Katakana (symbols describing syllables, usually from non-Japanese words). They translate to Pa-I-N. But they don't mean the English word "pain". If your surname was "Pain", or perhaps "Payne", that would be how it's written, but the meaning isn't there.

"Pain" and "Hurt" have the same basic meaning, and so the same basic character. Most of the others require a pair of characters - to emphasise what kind of "Love", or what it is that is "Dead". But, you can get away with a single character to signify the meaning. I'll scan them in in a mo...
 
I try. It just so happens that I did two years of Japanese language at university, and was a reserve (unused... bastards) on the JET Programme...

I apologise for the crudeness of my pictograms - but you can be assured the stroke order is correct at least :D

From left to right: Love, Pain/Hurt, Hate (the bottom box - divided in two - I've drawn highly wonky. It should be pretty much square... Sorry), Broken, Dead

Why don't you screw your friend and have some japanese racial slur tattooed on him? Now that would be funny.

He deserves it for getting a japanese character tattooed on him.

What kind of tattoo are you getting?
 
Me, I am not 100% on mine...

Probably some more work done to my old tat, maybe something new.

You got any suggestions?

As for my friend, I still think I am going to poke him in the eye with my finger next time I see him over this.
 
:lol: Famine, I KNOW some Japanese Characters are chinese characters. Excuse me for my shallow knowledge of different kinds of Japanese though. I have much more to learn... haha

Weird request, but can you PLEASE draw me an absolutely clear version of that again, about the same size

That is ****ing perfect!

He wants it right down his left arm, all 5 characters.
