Need Help: Japanese Symbols

Here is a sample of my promised work.

I call it "Woman and her Dryer"

They came out slightly bigger, but I guess you can resize them with whatever image package you have on your computer.

Famine what are the hiragana for those kanji?

I've got an IME Japanese imput thing on my computer, I'll see what they come out in the "computerised" way.
 
That's funny, the site's completely unchanged since I last used it over 5 years ago!

Much slower than I recall, though.

Love is "ai" (which can then become less generalised concepts such as romantic love (aijo), sexual love (ren-ai) and love of an inanimate object, or something like your favourite football team (seiai).

Pain is "itami", although the kanji I've posted ought to be followed by the hiragana "mi" for the truest sense... The phrase "it hurts!" is "itai", to be painful is "itamu", to cause pain is "itameru" - so I think the kanji I posted covers it approximately.

Hate is the trickiest one... I'm not sure whether the kanji I posted accurately conveys the sense... You can hate something, or you can hate someone. I don't know if mine is the former or the latter. I think it's nikumu...

Broken is warui.

For dead I've used "the dead", which is shinda, although again the kanji (shi) would be followed by hiragana n and da.

The only one I'm not 100% sure of conveying the meaning is "Hate". I could have posted the hatred of a person, whereas I think your friend may want hatred of a situation. I'll check... Won't be a tick.

And remember that the characters are written using a paintbrush - strokes ALWAYS go top to bottom, or right to left. Although I think there'll be a bit of scratching about with a tattoo needle :D

Are they going to look funny coming off a tattoo needle? Cant exactly go top to bottom with a needle.
 
Most tattoo places are pretty good at emulating brush strokes, so I don't think it'll be a problem. I've seen a lot of Kanji tattoos, and they aren't bad... (well, if you like that sort of thing :D I mean the characters are decently represented)
 
The part on the right is more or less symmetrical, so there should be two diagonal lines coming out and down at each side. The part on the left is just four lines in total - one more or less horizontal, and the other three all heading downwards. What is circled is a downwards diagonal line from the right part.

BUT, as established now (via the magic of PM), the original 5 characters suit the purpose better. So you should ignore this one altogether.
