Logitech Profiler, Driving Force GT, Warehouse and Logistics Simulator 2014, Construction Simulator 2015 or Fork Truck Challenge.

Is it possible to set the wheel up?

Fork Truck challenge works partially but I dont know how to complete the set up. It is an early build, very faulty. Shouldn't have been released.

How do I set up that wheel for either of those two

This has to be an easy question to answer and I need help. I can only get the wheel to act like a button.

Can someone download warehouse and logistics simulator 2014 and tell me if it is possible?

I assigned the keystrokes to the axis and the wheel just acted like a button. I cant see why the profiler should understand any more than that. The menus are so counterintuitive and its not like there is anything to figure out. You just have to know certain things. Is there a profile for this game for download?

You don't have to set the wheel up for the profiler, the profiler is just a tool that allows you to configure feedback effect strength and wheel rotation and make profiles for each game. Maybe there is a way to reconfigure all the binds but you shouldn't do that.

As for the game, I don't have it and I don't know anyone who does, but two things:

1. Not all games support wheels, in fact very few do. You can use a wheel as a controller in a lot of games, but if the game wasn't built with wheels in mind you can't expect a good experience; things like no feedback, no analogue control, limited wheel rotation, certain buttons or axes not bing supported, etc.

2. Some simulators have separate mapping menus specifically for axes, I think War Thunder is one. If you try to map an axis to a bind that expects a key, it works digitally (as you're describing). Since War Thunder is playable with a keyboard it's possible to accidentally set up a flight stick so that all the axes are digital, you have to go into the axes menu to be able to set each axis as an analogue input. Maybe have a search for that.

So keep looking but don't be surprised if the answer is simply that the wheel isn't supported. Also, try emailing the sim's developer for help.

As an aside, I've just googled a bit to see if the wheel is supported and I notice you've asked the Logitech forum about this, also implying that people can learn from the sim and train to use a real forklift with it and hence improve their employability. That's somewhat inaccurate because even if a simulator could teach you how to drive a forklift, no one is going to hire you to drive a forklift if your experience is solely simulator-based. Most people learn and subsequently get licensed to operate forklifts on the job, sponsored by their employer.

I've not seen anything about this sim but I'm assuming it's another one of those bizarro sim-games aimed mainly at the German market. In fact, even though I'm at work I'm going to look it up, I bet the developer is Eastern European or German...

Edit: Yep, German. Also I'm not sure a game that doesn't detect collisions with other people in the warehouse is going to teach you what you need to know to drive a forklift. I don't think your wheel will work with it, either.

All I expect to learn from either of the games is the ability to know how the machine reacts to steering input so that I use the least amount of space possible.

I tried emailing the developers of both games. I know the wheel works with Construction Simulator 2015 but I cant even see the text in menu or the wheel calibration menu. Just because I may have the wrong wheel doesnt mean I shouldnt even see the wheel calibration menu.

Can someone help me in getting this job so that I can one day be in a position to enjoy the virtual arts like everyone else?

Ummm... rather than bumping the thread with photos of... a celebrity wax figure? Could you actually explain, in detail, what your problem is?

Ummm why can't you keep everything in atleast one or two posts? Instead having to make like 4 or 5 of them? There's no character limit *from what I've at least seen for making a post.* It's a little hard for me to explain in detail. If you have more than one question, just keep them in one post and number them.

Also what's up with the Tom Cruise picture? *Correct me if I'm wrong if that's Tom Cruise, the guy in the pic looks a bit more aged than Tom Cruise although I could be very wrong.*

It's actually 7 posts, and you should really give him a break for he is new here.

@willkeaveney there is an edit button on the bottom of your posts to help avoid double-posting 👍. Oh, and before I forget, welcome to :gtpflag:

I have a forklift training appointment coming up, you pay by the hour and its expensive, so I want to make the best use of it by preparing with the game I mentioned, warehouse and logistics simulator 2014. There is no ingame calibration. I have to know if it is possible to set up with just the profiler. The best I can get is for the wheel to act like a button meaning once I turn the wheel to a certain degree its as if I pressed the keyboard button. The wheel keeps turning and doesnt make use of the 900 degree capability of the hardware, or atleast 200 degrees of steering input. I heard through a youtube video review that its possible to use the mouse. This would be better than the keyboard and if someone knows that much then that would be helpful too.

As for the picture, I thought some sarcastic humor would help. I know I am new here and people might have expected a more friendly introduction to be worth their consideration.

Having driven both forklifts and Reach Trucks in the real world, I can tell you that the steering set up is really quite different from any wheel settings you'd normally encounter in a game or sim. The rotation is crazy as you need to be able to turn that beast pretty much on it's axis at low speeds.

Perhaps they have bourn that in mind with the simulator, but it would need something close to 3,500 degrees of turning capacity to emulate the real mechanics properly (that's almost five full turns of the wheel each direction.)

In any case, nothing will prepare you for the actuality more than a training course. Those are designed to teach you swiftly and efficiently what you need to know to be a safe operator, and in many countries, it's now law that you need a recent certificate to drive one. back when I learned to drive them, that wasn't the case, but now all people have to go through such a course to get that license.

Good luck.

OK having been a trainer/instructor for Raymond Johnstone equipment, Teaching courses on Reach Trucks,Dock Stockers,Walkies, counterbalance Trucks for the past 20 years what exactly do you want to know?
Your video game is not even close, so relying on that with a wheel, well good luck with that. We have simulators that are far more advanced than your video game.If there is some info you want PM me and I can send you books, tests, etc if you want them. What kind of machine are you testing for? Were in Canada do you live?

Simulators!? I've been googling for a simulator to download and only find junk. I assume the simulator you are talking is not the kind regular people would have access to?

I am interested in those books and tests you mentioned. If you can send them please do so, I'd appreciate it.

I want to get certified for all types of lift trucks, except maybe the sideloader and transtacker and swing reach. But I'll be starting with the walkies.

I'm glad I found you!

I'm at my cottage till next week. I'll send you some stuff.

I got my reach truck license back in June. No amount of commercial computer sims could prepare you for the steering and the maneuverability of one in tight confines.

What did you practice on?

Does anyone know of any other game that has vehicles with rear wheel steering? Are there any mods that have turned ordinary vehicles in rear wheel steering vehicles?
