need help shopping

ok lately ive been shopping for an mp3 player. and ive got it down to where i want the iriver H320. but when i was about to order it. i found THIS . its the Archos AV-320 w/DVR100- Digital Video Recorder module. for only 100 more i can get baisically a mini camcorder. i was just wondering if that was a good deal or if i should just go ahead and order the iriver. also is that site pretty trustworthy as far as ordering stuff from them? ok thanks for help
 
The archos units are generally good, but their sound quality isn't as good as the iRiver unit. The Archos will also be more bulky and will drain it's charge a lot faster. It's your call in the end. I personally prefer the iRiver player since there's a way to mod it into playing avi files with almost no probs.

Also, the Archos doesn't have a camera, it's actually just an onboard recorder so you can connect a VCR or camcorder. It's a pretty slick feature if you're into that sort of thing 👍
 
The battery definitely sucks - 10 hours for mp3 and 3.5 for video. Other than that, it looks like a nice unit. As far as trustworthy, their rating on pricegrabber.com looks pretty decent.
 
It depends on what you prefer now. The iRiver is slimmer but it's taller. The iRiver probably has the better battery life and it's sound quality is a hell of a lot better. The iRiver is also carbon fiber - no other portable electronic on the market has that.

As I said, I'd personally take the iRiver unit and install the European firmware to make it play movie files... But I *am* kinda biased towards the iRiver players.
