Need help tuning the Amuse S2K

I'm currently using the setup by Dutch Customs for Fuji pro online 800cc. I get around 1:40-1:42. I am using a six axis

The problem arises when often I don't have too much control on the car, it tends to swerve out at times and gets a little wild. How can I adjust this where it's not too wild off of turns yet can carry the speed it needs to maintain the same times or even better? I hear that six axis is more sensitive than the wheel so it needs a different setting.

Because of it being wild I end up being conservative with speed along turns when I am used to being aggressive into turns, so that adds a few seconds into my overall time :(

Here is the settings currently being used , if you have another one for the six axis I would really appreciate it! Or if you would like to tamper with this one to make it more balanced.

I assume this is under acceleration.Try putting the front to -18 and the rear to -20.This should help plant the back tires.
 
well i am not sure if lovering the car is helping so much id try the toe for the back end..
and soften the rear of the car for more traction
 
Thank you! I will be tuning this as soon as I get off from work/school and throw a good few laps in and see how it makes a difference.

If you have any other suggestions in the mean time let me know so I can put them in when I get back. I think this should do it, it does make better sense.
 
Hey there, I thought I updated my tune for use with Sixaxis, but apparently I forgot. 👎

Change steering angle to 35 (or 30) and reduce rear brakes to 4. That should help. :) I'll change the tune to reflect the changes.
 
Wonderful! It worked pretty well,

I adjusted the following

Wheel angle to 33
Rear brakes to 4
front toe to -10 rear to -3. Camber to 2.3 and 2.5
Front height -18, rear -20

I did a personal best of around 1:38.xx

This was just after 3 or so races! Pretty good!

Trading in some power for more downforce can help to, depending on your style.

At Fuji when the Amuse is already slow on the long straight that's going to put you even farther behind the GTLMs. Even with min aero and max power the Amuse gets owned on the straight by the GTLMs. It would be nice if you could make it up on braking but the Amuse seems to have the worst brakes of any high-PP car.

I had mine lapping into the 1:33s if I recall correctly, thats with the RVT set up I posted a while back for 750PP, max downforce, minimum weight and then tweaked power to 800PP.

I took some of your tunes for a spin and I can recall that they were very good in the cornering department. I'm pretty sure that your Amuse would get eaten alive on the straights by a GTLM, but only if the GTLM manages to keep up through the rest of the track. Add to that that it takes a very skilled driver to keep the GTLM under control while driving at the limit and the Amuse with full downforce is very easy to drive. :) So I think an Amuse could be very competitive, even with full downforce. I chose not to, I reduced downforce to the point that it's still easy to drive, giving a bit of extra top end on the straights. But I doubt that setup will be significantly faster (or slower) than a setup with full downforce.
 
I gave my Amuse tune a try with max downforce and reduced power. It just felt a bit too slow on the straight. So I played with downforce and power until I got what seems like a great compromise. Used it to surprise a fairly skilled GTLM driver. We ran 4 times and I beat him 3. The only time I lost was when he was close enough behind me coming onto the straight to draft me on the last lap. That LM is a missle in the draft. :D
 
Fair enough, i just prefer to have my car set for the corners, there's no fun going in a straight line. Overtaking on the corners/braking is much more challenging and rewarding, particularly with the over-exagerated draft effect in the current GT5P Spec.

There's no fun going in a straight line for sure. I really wish there was a chicane in the middle of that straight. I almost go to sleep.

But it's also no fun standing on the accellerator dead in the draft of a GT LM and still watching him pull away. With my new settings I can stay on the rear of a GT LM all the way to the braking zone. Then I outbrake him. Now THAT'S fun. :D
 
Then get left again because you can't get any lead during the lap? At least giving yourself max cornering potential gives you some hope of getting a big enough lead in the final sector to come across the line first. Following behind won't win you the race, so being able to stay behind but not overtake is still not enough when it comes to winning against the GTLM.

Using a fast final sector car, gives you some hope in getting just (and I mean just) enough of a lead to come across the line first.
 
Ok? last time out i had 10 races 7 wins and 3 2nds, I don't mean to say mines perfect, but it's proof power isn't neccessary to win.

I'm fully aware you do 'ok' or better with yours, but you seemed to believe more straight line speed was vital where it clearly isn't.

I agree, it all comes down to the track itself and the driving style used...
 
As with all tuning, everything is a trade off. You gain more straight line speed, you lose in cornering and vice versa. Pick whichever works best for you. :)
